Easter

We had a great Easter! The weather was gorgeous and we really did just enjoy the day together. We had church at 11:30, so we woke up and just relaxed and slowly got ready in the morning. It is hard to go to church and try to get two very excited girls to sit still, but eventually they settled down. Right before church started, Ada spotted a lady with a yellow rose. The lady noticed that Ada liked it and gave it to her, and she was Ada's best friend the rest of the meeting. The only thing Ada would do was look back and smile. Over and over and over and over again. I was worried she was driving her crazy, but at the same time she wasn't making noise or being wild. The lady came up after church and gave Ada a big hug. We love our California ward!

We had found these dress up Rapunzel dresses a month or so ago for $5 each. What a steal! Made for a good Easter morning present since I am not sure yet if the Easter Bunny comes to our house. They weren't disappointed in the dresses from mom and dad.

Saturday morning we colored eggs. I feel the same way about coloring eggs as I do about carving pumpkins. It is kind of something to get done and check off the list. But the girls loved it and immediately after the eggs were colored they started having egg hunts (and dropping them all on the concrete).

Sunday evening we had two other families over for a ham dinner and egg hunt. These girls had so much fun together. We are grateful for the friends we have made in California. Both of the dads in these families are resident doctors in the Loma Linda area.

Egg hunt! Each kid got to find 10 eggs. I was worried my kids were going to get sick because of all the sugar they ate, but we made it through the night!

And I have to throw on a few random pictures from our life! Penny got some 'new' clothes from our little friend Emjae. She is in all of Aubrey & Ada's hand me downs, and it is fun to dress her in some different things. Plus, she is starting to wear 6 month clothes, and it was winter when our other girls wore that size, so it is nice not to have to go out and buy too much. Thanks!

Today we made strawberry jam. I don't know why I haven't done this since we moved to California, but I hate store jam. So good!

Our jam!

We discovered our girls can do handstands

Cam took the girls to the pool Saturday afternoon and they had so much fun. The pool is getting warm enough to really swim in. We are prepared to spend a lot of time here as the weather continues to get warmer. Penny has stuck her toes in, but it is still too cold for her.

And the mess we get to deal with tonight. I guess I shut the door a little too hard and it shattered. It seems like once we get something taken care of, another mess is in our face. Since we moved here we have been fixing problem after problem, checking one box off our list only to put another on, but we are learning that life is just full of problems to solve!

Ada has the sweetest personality! I bet she made that ladies day! So sweet! Their dresses are darling. I love them all. Such happy girls! And your door...what a mess! I'm sorry! That's such a pain. You have had one thing after another there. Hopefully they can fix it fast! Your jam looks great too. The pool looks amazing! I am craving that right now!
