New Year's and Headed Home

On New Year's Eve we celebrated with the kids at 7pm. We watched the ball drop and fireworks from London, and banged on cups. Afterwards they drank sparkling cider and we sent them all off to bed.

Bryan & Kathy, Taylor & Kristi, and Cam & I stayed up and played cards and snacked until midnight. We then watched the ball drop and then all headed off to bed.

On New Year's Day these cousins spent most of the morning making a play to perform for everyone. This included the cool castle and all. The play was pretty crazy, but they had a blast.

All of them huddled around working on play stuff.

And we finished our trip with a night out with everyone at Joy Luck. It was pretty crazy! But delicious as always.

Time to say goodbye. Taylor and Kristi and kids left early Friday morning, and we left shortly after.

The girls watched shows, ate markers, and were pretty good on the drive back.

We hit some really heavy traffic from Las Vegas until we hit the California border so we had to stop and have an ice cream break, as well as a dinner break before we did the final stretch home.

Almost home!

Snow, Swimming, and More

Monday December 29 we got about 8" (+/-) snow at the Harveys. A neighbor was out pulling his kids in a sled behind his truck and our kids joined in. What a fun memory. And so glad the girls got to play in snow before heading back to California.

So glad the plows didn't come early. They had a great time.

Our car enjoying the snow.

Penny liked eating the snow, and tolerated this sled for a few minutes. She still isn't sure what to think of it all.

Such a pretty day.

After playing we headed to breakfast at Granny Annies. Cam and I had our wedding breakfast here, and it never disappoints.

Penny wasn't too sure about Great Grandma and Grandpa Brough. She will love them next time!

We also were able to go out with all of Cam's siblings without kids! Unfortunately Kathy had the flu and stayed home. We missed her!

And of course we had to take the girls swimming. Clearfield has a great indoor aquatic center. Aubrey passed the swimming test and was able to go on the water slide all by herself. I was happy I didn't have to keep taking her every time. The kids had a blast.

Great to see these cousins together

Being silly one night. Pretty creepy.

Cameron and I caught up on movies on our trip. We saw the Lord of the Rings movie on our anniversary. Then we went and saw Unbroken. We had passes that Cam received at his Christmas party last year and we got these awesome seats. Then Cam & Bryan took the kids to see Big Hero 6 and the girls went to Into the Woods. Utah has $5 Tuesdays which is awesome!

And a couple cute pictures to finish the post.

Christmas Day

Christmas morning! The kids were told they couldn't get up until 7am. At 6:45 we heard them running and bouncing around. So excited!

Christmas is of course much better when you get to watch kids and their excitement over everything.

Lots of presents and a lot of toys to play with. And a lot of very happy kids.

Utah had no snow on Christmas Eve, but we woke up to a white Christmas in the morning. Which made the day even more exciting. After presents all the kids ran outside to play in the snow.

In the afternoon Cam and I took Aubrey, Hannah, and Ada sledding at Nichols Park.

I do miss the snow! It is nice this year knowing it is only temporary, but someday I would like to live in it again.

After playing in the snow we visited Cam's grandparents and then came home for dinner.

And our cute Penny had a great Christmas as well. And we finished off the day with Cookies & Cream!
