Cousins Reunited

We decided to get together with cousins again! After all of us staying home for 6 weeks, we decided it was time!

We got to go see their new baby chicks.

The girls loved holding them. We also got to see their new space for their garden, and the changes that Spring was bringing to their new house.

Helping out a bit!

We are so lucky to live by cousins!

Paige Rides a Bike April 21, 2020

Paige rode her bike without training wheels on April 21, 2020. We knew she could do it but I wasn't sure the confidence was there. Ada spent the morning practicing with her going down the hill in the driveway with her training wheels on. Then we went for it. She easily did it right away! Then for the next week she wanted me to put the training wheels back on. She kept asking for them! Even though she was cruising around everywhere. We haven't been able to get her off since! She can ride loop after loop around our neighborhood and has to be persuaded to come inside.

Video of the first ride!

We also biked Trail of the Couer d'Alenes from Heyburn State Park to Harrison and back. It was a nice adventure after being home for so long without many outings. It was also nice to just feel like we got away from the world and the fears that have been surrounding us. Penny made it 12 miles (6 miles out) on her little bike before we had her jump in the trailer with Paige. The rest of did 16 miles round trip. We will be back!

I forgot the girls had piano so we felt a little rushed this day. By the time we got halfway home we realized we weren't even going to make it in time for lessons! So we rescheduled and hit a few geocaches before heading home for dinner.

More Stay at Home

Now to get the stumps out.... We have a friend coming soon to give us a hand (we think!)

The girls painted Paige's face

Neighborhood bike rides

Chalk art. We had seen a lot of people do this but hadn't jumped on board. Then the girls found my painting tape and we decided to go for it. Penny worked on it the most.

It stayed on our driveway for a couple weeks!

Paige has discovered a love for frozen juice.

After a few weeks we started breaking the rules a tiny bit and started letting the back yard neighbors play. They spent a whole day painting rocks and hiding them around the neighborhood and placing some on people's doorsteps. It was a perfect activity!

Birthday cards for Grandma.

I love nice neighbors! We were out biking and saw this sign!

Our backyard neighbors told their son they would pay him $20 to remove this chunk of cement from the middle of their yard. They had no idea how much of a task that would end up being. It was huge.

Paige got stung (or bit) by something one day. Aubrey and Ada have been running a mile loop a couple times a week with me. We had just finished and something got to her!

Ada baked a cake and Aubrey decorated it. It was delicious.
