Idaho Falls Trip

 Brynlee & Aubrey

With the change in the weather and spending more hours inside our apartment with our girls, I was anxious to get up to Idaho Falls to spend a weekend with my sisters. It seemed like everywhere I went, I saw friends spending time with their sisters, and I wanted to do the same. The drive only takes 2.5 hours, and it is so much fun to see all these little cousins play together. We had 6 little girls running around from 11 months to 4 years old. We had so much fun watching the girls play, and just talking and catching up.

Emily and Ada are only 3 months apart.

We went up Thursday morning after our first big snow here in Utah. By Friday afternoon, there was still enough snow outside to get all the kids bundled and out to build a snowman.

Eden was the snowball rolling Queen. She loved rolling the balls across the snow, and the activity kept her entertained for quite awhile.

Montanna

Eden did this whole snowball completely by herself. It was the perfect snowman making wet snow.

All the girls came over to help Eden when she couldn't push it anymore.

Cute little cousins.

Ada woke up from her nap in time to enjoy some of the fun.

All six little girls. We can't wait until Thanksgiving when Eli & Lydia can join the group!

Saturday afternoon we got out of the house and took the girls to play at the mall. They all had so much fun.

Very busy bath and bed time!

Loved my break from home and makes me so happy to see my girls playing so well with their cousins. The oldest 4 would run off together and play for hours. It is nice that they are getting old enough that we don't have to hover. Ada tries to keep up as well.

What a great weekend, and it was easier going home knowing we will be back in 3 weeks for Thanksgiving with all the Dalton family!

First Snow!

It snowed for the first time last week. It was so fun when Aubrey looked outside and saw this small amount on the ground. She was yelling and jumping. A few minutes later, she said, "Now we will have raspberries to pick and Grandma's!" (We keep telling her that after the snow comes and melts, then it will be about raspberry time again...guess that didn't really work for us.)

Thursday morning we woke up to big fluffy snowflakes and about 3 inches of snow. The girls were both so excited again. We went out and played for awhile before heading up to Idaho Falls for the weekend. Cameron had to stay behind and work and do homework. Poor Daddy!

 Ada in her pigtails!

Aubrey got a little elephant bank that she could paint for her birthday from her friend Marlee. It was a perfect snowy day activity that kept her entertained for quite awhile.

Early Halloween Party

We got invited to an early Halloween party on Friday. Our old neighbors from upstairs moved away about 2 months ago after buying a home, so they invited us all out. It was so much fun, and our girls had an absolute blast. They were happy to see Tanner & Easton again, and we ate good food, played fun games, and enjoyed the night with great friends. Whenever we get together with neighbors, I realize how blessed we are to have such great neighbors and grateful for the wonderful friends that we have made.

Aubrey was Cinderella. We borrowed the dress from a neighbor, and it was perfect. I don't know why I didn't get a picture of Ada. I think we got rushed to get out of the house, and she is always on the move, and it didn't work out. She was a cat with whiskers and a black nose and cat ears. The makeup on her face rubbed off fairly quickly, and the headband didn't last- but she looked cute, and now you all have something to look forward to when Halloween really comes! Cameron and I went as runners. We are so creative.

Bobbing for apples. All the kids initially went to just grab the apples out of the water, and kind of looked at us weird when we told them they couldn't use their hands. But they got the hang of it after awhile. Tanner, who is 7, is the only kid that actually got one out. The rest pretended that they did.

Usually timid Aubrey was wonderful the whole night. She knows all our neighbors and their kids so well, and all the kids had so much fun running around the house playing with toys, screaming, and eating lots of sugar.

Another 'no hands' game. Don't cheat Ada!

Cameron won the donut eating adult contest! Even as I was trying to snap pictures before our camera died.

What a fun night!

Aubrey is 3!

Aubrey turned 3 on October 6th! We have had a busy week, and Friday night we had some neighbors and friends over to celebrate. She had her good friends Taylor and Marlee who both live downstairs from us, as well as Joshua (and his new baby brother Brayden)-the sons of my good friends and teammate Sariah.

We started Friday morning by walking to the store to get pipe cleaners and powdered sugar. We came home and ate lunch, and once Ada was down for her nap, the fun began. Aubrey got to decorate all the cupcakes while I made the cake. It was a perfect arrangement. I know in the years to come, it will be harder and harder to decorate the cake myself, and I know I am going to have to let her help.

She loved the attention as everyone sang to her. And she let her friends help her blow out a few candles.

We told everyone not to bring presents, but everyone did. She got some nice gifts from everyone. She sure got spoiled this birthday! As I put her to bed Friday night, I asked, "Is your birthday over now?" She said, "Yes." Then got a bit excited when I said that it was in the morning.

She picked out a big princess castle balloon for our tradition. It will be hard to top this one in future years. It is also hard to buy balloons now-there is a helium shortage and the prices are going up because of it!

On birthday morning we opened presents from Mommy and Daddy and presents that Grandma and Papa sent from Montana.

Loving her hair accessory kit from Grandma and Papa Dalton. We also got to Skype with Grandma and Papa as well as cousins Lydia & Eli, and Uncle Ben & Aunt Linda Lee. Aubrey also loved the calls and messages from cousins Montanna & Eden, and Brynlee & Emily, and card that Aunt Lindsey and Uncle Adam sent. She also got texts from her cousins in Texas. She is a loved little girl.

Monkey bread!

Yum!

The girls also ate smoothie popcicles that Daddy had made.

Loving this 'track suit' find! I got the whole outfit for $5. Doesn't she look like a Weber State Wildcat?

Lunch at Zupas with Aunt Kate and Uncle Jordan, and Aunt Leigh and Uncle Todd. Aubrey loves their soup and chocolate strawberries.

More partying! Wow! Grandma and Grandpa Harvey came over in the afternoon as well as Kate & Jordan and Leigh & Todd.

Snow White pajamas.

More cake. Loving the dress my mom sent Aubrey, but look how old she looks!

Jordan and Kate got Aubrey a Rapunzel doll, and Leigh and Todd got finger paints, sponges, and construction paper. It was a hit, and it was nice Leigh was there to make the mess with Aubrey.

As the men headed off to priesthood session, the girls relaxed and watched Anastasia.

Feeling like we over spoiled our girl. I have the problem of slowly collecting presents when I find sales. When we got them out a few night before her birthday, we realized we better save some for Christmas. But I think I had as much fun celebrating her birthday as she did. It is so fun to see them excited about everything.
