Happy 3rd Birthday Ada!

We had a little party on Sunday night. Cameron is in his last week of classes before finals so we knew it would be busy.

Mom and her girls.

And Dad

Penny partying.

Last year Ada was scared of the candles. This year she knew exactly what to do. She was so serious whenever we sang to her, but loved the attention.

 Presents

And the Minnie Mouse cake. It used to be so easy when I could just decide for myself what to make the girls. Ada has wanted a Minnie Mouse cake for months. So I was worried this wasn't going to be up to her expectations. But she loved it.

Ada and her Minnie Mouse gown, and Aubrey wore hers too.

We woke up early and had cereal. No special breakfast, but this girl was plenty spoiled. A few presents before taking Aubrey to school.

Cameron sent this picture telling Ada Happy Birthday. He was at clinic, followed by class. Ada didn't know quite what to think. She was confused as to why Daddy looked like a doctor. Guess she doesn't quite understand what her Daddy does all day.

We had invited some of our friends to the pool for pizza and cupcakes. It was a lot of fun, and nice to have the mess there and not at my house. After dropping Aubrey off at school, Ada and I made Minnie Mouse cupcakes.

 Fun in the sun!

Blowing out candles.

We are blessed to have so many friends here. I was worried it was going to be crazy but these kids have so much fun together.

Old Post Apartment friends. It is so cool that Hailey lives only about an hour away, and we loved seeing her and Dayna and baby Cameron! Small world that 2 years ago we were neighbors in Ogden.

Sunday Photo Shoot

This girl turns 3 tomorrow! We have already been celebrating. Starting with Disneyland, then a little family party on Sunday, and pool party with some friends tomorrow. She looked so cute on Sunday. This skirt used to be my mom's, as well as mine, and now my girls are wearing it.

I told Cam that we don't get in enough pictures with our kids. So we took a couple with our girls.

Back to Disneyland!

We only have two weeks left to use our Disneyland passes. We have loved going this past year. We are still debating whether we can make it work for another year, as Cameron's schedule gets busier. This was visit #14!

We met up with our friends Caitlyn and Emjae at Disneyland. We had a blast!

Silly Aubrey.

Girls watching the parade.

And wiped out! Penny does so good as well. Glad it was a Friday evening so that we could all sleep in Saturday morning (if only things would work out how I planned ;))

Another popsicle picture. Love these summer days.

Morning walks to school.

Ada loves to run around these circles while we wait to pick up Aubrey.

Penny loves cheese.

And just some cute pictures of the girls. Ada insisted on carrying my groceries to the car.

First Day of School!

First Day of School for Aubrey. Transitional Kindergarten, which is for all the kids who turn 5 between September 1 and December 2. It is through the school system, and her class is actually two hours of the TK kids, and 1 hour combined with Kindergarten. Then lunch and recess before we pick them up. Aubrey was sooo excited. We talked it up the past few months fearing that she would get nervous, but she was so ready.

On Tuesday we got to go meet her teacher, Mrs. Lamb, and see her classroom and other kids in the class. Cameron and I were both able to go because Cam's class started later in the day, and a friend let Ada and Penny play. So we got to focus all our attention on Aubrey.

All ready to go the night before Day 1.

Breakfast.

And lots of pictures.

Excited for Aubrey.

We had heard that the first week traffic is crazy, so we opted to walk the half mile to the school.

We left with enough time to not rush, and of course enjoy the flowers.

The Harvey Girls

Today they let all the parents hang out until the bell rang. Which meant more pictures.

Penny hanging out.

The bell rang, and after a hug she lined up and was off. She loved her first day, and can't wait to go again tomorrow.

We played with chalk to try to get some more pictures in the afternoon. Not perfect but we had fun.

Ada can't be left out.

It was a weird day for us here at home. We are used to lazy mornings, so having to get up and go made the day seem long. Plus without Aubrey around Ada wasn't quite sure what to do with herself and needed more of my attention. I am sure we will quickly get into a new routine that works for all of us. I am looking forward to giving Ada some more one on one time. And, the girls usually get along great, but I am hoping that Aubrey's absence for a few hours everyday will help them to get along even better when they are together. Here goes our first school year!
