Fairmont Hot Springs

The day after Easter we headed up to Fairmont Hot Springs in Canada. We left on Monday and came back on Thursday. It brought back so many memories of when we would go as kids. We had just as much fun.

Heading to the pools!!! We swam and swam, watched shows in the room while Paige napped, explored, and swam some more.

The hot hotel pool. As kids we referred to this as the grown up pool. Mom and Dad always liked this pool best. The girls liked this pool because it had less rules than the bigger pools. They were able to try snorkeling, play with a few more of their toys, and at times we were the only ones in the pool which was a bonus.

Paige was a good sport. She liked to be held in the pools most of the time. By the last day she got a little braver and began to walk around a little.

Just lots of pictures of our pool time!

Snorkeling!

The big outside cooler pool was the favorite. Warm enough to stay in for hours but not hot. The girls made some friends that they played with half the time. They also enjoyed playing with us, touching the bottom of the deep end, playing with dive toys, and warming up in the hot pools.

Fantastic views! We mostly had sunny cold days in the 30s. A tiny bit of snow.

And lots of cold walks from our room to the pool and back again.

Giant chair!

Not much else to post besides swimming pictures.

We all liked the room with the hot pool and the cold dunk pool, as well as the sauna and steam room.

So cold! Like an ice bath!

All the girls went from the hot pool to dunking in the cold pool multiple times. They were brave!

Aubrey loved the sauna.

And Ada's favorite was the steam room.

Brave cold dip!

Home again.

We got a cool room with a balcony.

Dinnertime.

And I had to wake Paige up from this nap. So hard to wake a sleeping baby. And poor Paige. We left on Monday and it took me all the way until Tuesday afternoon to realize that I had packed Paige no clothes. At all. Luckily I did get two swimsuits for her, and a pair of pajamas. And then she had the clothes she wore there. Really I guess that's all you need for a trip to Fairmont!

Playing Toilet Trouble in the lobby during Paige's nap.

Cameron got out on a run one morning.

We went on a little hike one afternoon.

And an ice cream treat! Aubrey and Ada got bubblegum. It was so gross. I kept telling them I would get them something else if they didn't like it. But they both insisted it was delicious.

Blue bubblegum ice cream....hmm. Penny got rainbow sherbert, I got chocolate peanut butter, and Cam got a S'mores sundae.

Sitting on the cowch.

Pretty sure we will be back! Can't wait to return and make more memories.

Easter

Easter weekend was also the beginning of our Spring Break week. On Saturday we decided to check out the Easter event at the church down the road. It was a hit! Easter egg hunts, bouncing toys, a petting zoo with lots of cool animals, face painting, and a star wars show. All the girls got plenty of candy, and we enjoyed the sunny morning.

Ready for the big hunt. We made Penny participate in the Kindergarten/1st hunt so we didn't have our kids spread out everywhere.

They got some!

Aubrey before her hunt!

And Paige. I thought we would be lucky if Paige got 1 egg. But people were so nice and she was able to pick up quite a few.

She really only needed one because she knew there was candy inside! So once she had one in her hand she didn't care about anything else.

And face painting is always a hit.

Easter Eggs

Bunny

And some flowers

And another bunny!

We then came home and turned on conference while the girls dyed eggs and Paige napped. We just tried to ignore the mess until they were done.

Because our girls can't just dye eggs. They have to drip and wipe and mix and stir.

It is nice that they are getting bigger and can mainly do it themselves though.

Worn out. I have been reading the girls the first Narnia book. Penny couldn't stay awake!

As much as I try not to be....I am a spoiler on holidays. The Easter Bunny never comes to our house....I'm not sure why. But usually there is a little gift for the girls Easter morning.

Matching outfits! I got both outfits for $3 total, and Ada felt so special matching with Paige.

And our good old "Let's see how quickly you can run around the house." The girls always think this is so fun as they time each other and run and run and run.

Wagon ride to get the mail.

Tree climbing

And springtime dirt digging.

And we have been having fun playing basketball outside too.

Conference Easter morning.....trying to look the other way instead of yelling at the kids. Trying to ignore their grand fort ideas.

And finish the post with some cute Paige pictures.

Because those glasses on her are pretty darn cute!
