Last Day

We decided to just stay around Bigfork on our last day of vacation. We headed to Wolsteins to play at the lake. We all jumped in one last time, and the girls loved the playhouse.

 Cooking up some delicious food.

So cool that this is the playhouse my mom and sisters played in, as well me and my brother and sisters, and now our girls.

Final jump ins. Love how clear the lake looks in this picture.

Penny's final dip.

And a bubble party before saying goodbye to Great Grandma and Grandpa Jellybean.

 And one last family picture.

The girls were excited to help wrap presents for cousin Lydia. I don't think I am giving any surprises away in these pictures!

And a little bit of Papa's Magic

We got to Kalispell a little early so we picked up some bread and went and fed the ducks.

And Aubrey made it across the monkey bars by herself for the first time ever.

And these pictures are a little out of order, but Bigfork Elementary got a new playground and the girls had fun playing with Daddy on it.

Mom and Dad took us all to the airport. We had a good flight home with no delays, picked up a pizza, and drove home from Vegas and got here around 11 pm. We all crashed and Aubrey woke up right on time to head to school. Back into the swing of life again. Cameron starts up again tomorrow and Monday with orientation, and back to clinic Tuesday.

Kerr Dam

Tuesday we headed to Kerr Dam in Polson. We ate lunch in the truck and then headed down to the lookout.

Lots of steps!

And nice views again. I want to go back when the water is really gushing out. Still a pretty cool place to visit.

Afterwards we drove down to the river below the dam and played for a bit, and then went on a little hike/walk.

We then went to Finley Point State Park to swim. It was supposed to be a warm day in the 80s, but it was overcast, sprinkling, and a bit windy. But we still enjoyed being at the lake, and Aubrey shocked us all and went for a swim.

On the drive home we saw a black bear near the lake.

The girls all fell asleep on the way home so we drove out to Lake Blaine to visit the Taylors. I am sad I didn't get a picture with Ashley or Brooke. The girls had fun playing on all the toys and we had a great time catching up with old friends.

Plum and Pear Picking

After Avalanche Lake we drove to my grandparents house to help pick plums and pears from their fruit trees. Both girls love harvesting and loved having a turn picking the fruit.

 Happy as can be.

Aubrey's Plums. And she would have eaten this whole bucket if we had let her.

Grandma also let the girls help dig up potatoes. We then went and at dinner and headed home for baths and bedtime. What a wonderful fun filled day.

Avalanche Lake

We headed up to Glacier Park one day with the intent on heading up to Logan Pass to hike Oberlin Peak. As we got to the park and just past Lake McDonald, Aubrey started to act like she was getting car sick. We decided to pull over and take a break. That's when we realized the backpack with all of our jackets got left at the house. We weren't sure what to do. We finally decided to grab the girls something, and head to Avalanche Lake. We had gotten a late start as it was, and we were all just ready to get out and do something. Turned out to be a great hike.

Starting on Trail of the Cedars.

Both girls were awesome hikers. It was a perfect family hike. It didn't ever get too steep and Aubrey hiked the whole thing.

Trying to get some pictures with the waterfalls on the way up.

We promised the girls cookies when they made it to the lake. We got there, gave them a cookie, and they each took a bite and then they were off. They played in the mud for over an hour. Penny took a nap and we all enjoyed the sunshine.

We had a chipmunk near us that cleaned up anything we dropped. He even crawled around Cameron's shoes. The girls loved him.

The girls painted with mud and made mud piles and played pretend. They loved it up there.

Both girls hiked almost all the way down. And they were awesome at it.

Family Picture

A couple more pictures of the waterfall before we headed out.

And I liked this fallen tree.

Getting recharged and ready to go pick pears and plums with Grandma and Papa and Great Grandma and Papa.
