First Day of School

First Day of School 2022-2023!

Ada is in 6th Grade and joining Aubrey at Evergreen Middle School. Aubrey is starting 7th Grade. Both were so excited to be back!

Paige is finally in Kindergarten! And Penny is in 3rd grade. Both at Sunrise Elementary.

Paige's 6th Birthday

Paige has been so excited for her birthday. She was constantly telling us everything she was going to do on her special day, and all the exciting things we were going to do at her party. You always hope it lives up to the hype!

We made a gumball princess cake the day before her birthday. 

Her first day of school was on her birthday. A big mix of emotions for her!

We opened a few presents, then picked up donuts for her class and barely made it to school on time for her first day. She was doing great all morning until it was time to stand in her line and walk in with her class. More pics in a minute.

We went out to Red Robin of course for dinner. And a special birthday sundae!

And the beginning of her meltdown. I kept telling her she had to walk in...but then they let me go in with her (unfortunately...haha. I knew she would probably only settle once I got out of there....but they invited me to sit in her classroom with her.)

I did sit in for a couple minutes, then snuck into the hall. Then waved goodbye. 

I think overall she had a good first day. She then cried everyday going to school for the next few months, but always settled pretty quickly. She loves school, just didn't love leaving me. 

We had her birthday party a few weeks early so we could have a waterslide/pool party with her friends.

Labor Day

We did our traditional ride to Harrison on the Trail of the Couer d'Alenes. We were able to get lots of people to join this year...our backyard neighbors the McAllisters, our other neighbors the Youngs, and the Webbs from church. We had such a great time. 8 miles to Harrison, a stop for ice cream and a good swim in the lake, before riding back.

Cameron was jumping rope and twisted/sprained/slightly fractured his foot...just a few days before we planned to hike the Enchantments.

And a snow cone sale to finish off summer. The girls made $80 total in two hours. They are definitely excited to do it again!
