Growing Up

Easter dresses. From the moment the girls received these dresses for Easter from Grandma and Grandpa Harvey, they wanted to wear them constantly. Finally Sunday rolled around and they got to wear them to church. They were both so excited. Love this picture because it shows how Ada wants to do exactly what Aubrey is doing. Even the silly smiles.

Was so shocked that Ada's hair was long enough to braid!

We also got the girls new beds. We bought a bunk bed that split into 2 twin beds. It was a crazy day trying to get everything put together and organized, but they both did really well. They have been sleeping really well. Ada bugged Aubrey the first few nights, but overall we couldn't have expected a better transition.

Goodbye toddler bed! (and crib!)

We also decided to go on a family outing on Friday. We went to the Living Planet Aquarium in Salt Lake. The girls loved it. We had fun seeing penguins, otters, fish, sharks, turtles, octopus, jellyfish, and more. They jellyfish were a favorite for Aubrey.

They also had a story/activity time that Aubrey thought was pretty cool.

The penguins and otters were my favorite. They were so active and fun to watch.

They also had a cool touch pool. Both girls touched a friendly small shark and a few other fish. Overall it was a fun filled morning.

The girls found some of my running headbands and Aubrey decided they wanted to be like Aunt Lauren.

Ada is in big girl underwear! She has actually transitioned quite well. We don't have it completely down yet, but she has only had one or two accidents a day. And even one day without any. Lets hope she continues to do well. She was so excited to be a big girl.

We took the girls on a run in the rain on Saturday. Cameron started on his own first, and then we met him as he headed home and switched. The girls were only in the stroller for about 1.5 miles, and didn't want to be done when they got home. Glad the days will continue to get nicer so we can do it more often.

Cousins and More

On our way home from Montana we were able to take a break in Idaho Fall and see both my sisters again. All the little cousins have so much fun together, and it is fun to hear 6 little girls giggling together. I missed getting any pics of Montana and Eden, but got a few cute ones of Brynlee and Emily with our girls.

So serious! It was a really nice day when we stopped by, with a bit of wind.

Playing in the truck!

Aubrey had entered the coloring contest at our grocery store, and won a half gallon of ice cream! She was so excited to go to the store and pick out whatever she wanted. Strawberry! A good choice because Mom won't eat it when she is asleep!

We got back Thursday, and Friday evening the sickness began. So Friday night through Tuesday we were watching lots of show, cleaning lots of messes, and just taking care of the girls. Luckily Cameron and I stayed healthy throughout. Yesterday and today were definitely better days, so I think we are on the way to being completely healthy again.

On night Ada woke up crying and because she was sick I decided to bring her out for some cuddle time. We sat on the couch and just hung out. I kept asking her if she wanted to go back to bed and she kept saying no. So I started singing her a song. About 30 seconds after I started singing, she sat up, started crying, and asked to go back to bed.

I am going to blame the sickness on Grandma's birthday cards being late. We will get them in the mail as soon as we can. Ada was so excited that she was allowed to use markers, and kept saying "Yamma"(Grandma) the whole time she was coloring.

Happy girls today! So nice to have them back. They got to come to Young Women with me tonight and had fun making duck tape belts and watching one of their shows.

Loma Linda CRNA Class of 2016

It's official! We are heading to California this fall for Cameron to continue his education to become a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthesist. He will start at the end of September and it is a 30 month program. We will probably try to make the move at the end of August/early September. We are excited!

Easter

We spent Saturday morning just around the house. Mom and Dad watched the girls while Cam and I got out on a run, and then we watched Dad trim the Cherry trees and played around the house. Just before noon we headed to the elementary school for an egg hunt. All the eggs were real eggs! Ada was the most excited and had a hard time waiting for the fun to start.

So excited!

Aubrey and Daddy

Trying to get to the eggs before anyone else! Once the alarm sounded for the start of the hunt, Ada took two steps and fell right on her nose. So both girls have scraped up faces from our adventures.

Aubrey got 3 eggs. She could have gotten more, but she wanted Cameron to pick them up for her, which he wasn't willing to do.

Easter morning the girls got a few little Easter treats: chocolate egg, Peeps, and books and music from Grandma and Papa, and stuffed bunnies from Great Grandma and Great Papa.

Papa went out and hid eggs filled with candy for the girls.

Lots of candy before an orange pancake breakfast and off to church.

After church we walked on the sand bar, rested, and then had grilled salmon for dinner. My grandparents came over and played with the girls as well and we did at least 2-3 more egg hunts.

What a fun day!

Back in Montana with Friends

We were able to come up to Montana last Wednesday and have had gorgeous weather ever since we have been here. We were excited that our friends, The Grundy's, were able to join us for a day last Friday to play. We had a blast in just about every kind of weather. First we headed down to Wayfarer's to roast hot dogs and throw rocks into the lake. The girls were so excited to see each other again, and it was fun to see them play. It was a bit windy, but still a beautiful day.

Not sure how much any of the kids ate, but they loved the idea of eating outside.

Alax and our little fire.

Marlee, Ada, and Aubrey

We headed out from Wayfarers as it looked like a storm was rolling in. But, by the time we got back to my parents house, the sun was shining. We headed out to the River Road to walk to the Dam. We had sunshine until we got to the dam, and then it poured. It was pretty fun though.

Ada actually took a great nap and loved our carrier. She didn't want to get out even after we got home.

The Grundy's

After the River Road, we played at the house for a bit, and then went down to the sand bar. We all forgot our cameras, but the girls loved drawing pictures in the sand and running around. Aubrey and Marlee were jumping off a tall rock and having a blast, when Aubrey slipped and fell 5-6 feet face first into the sand. So scary and traumatic for her, but luckily she only has some scratches from the fall. And my cell phone was lost on the beach, so it might be a few days before I have a phone again...which is actually kind of nice!

We ended the day with dinner and ice cream before the Grundy's had to head back home. We already miss them again, but it is nice to know that we will still be able to keep in touch even though they have moved away from Ogden.
