We are so spoiled to have Cameron home with us during the week so much. Lately, I have been feeling like we need to do everything we can while we are a family of three before our new little girl arrives. We have talked for a couple years about renting a canoe and taking it up to Pineview Resevoir. It always sounded like so much fun. Around 3:30 today we decided to do it. We rented a canoe, headed up to the valley, and launched it into the lake. We are definitely used to row boats, and the canoe was a bit wobbly with Aubrey trying to run around in it. Cameron was left to row by himself, while Aubrey whined, cried, and at times enjoyed the ride. We made it maybe 200 meters to a small beach where there weren't any people. It was nice we had the canoe to get there and have it all to ourselves!
We brought a picnic dinner, and after a quick dip in the lake and some swimming, we ate sandwiches. Aubrey liked all the boats going by, and of course all the motor boats looked like a lot more fun to her than our canoe.

Rope swing!
Heading back to shore. Aubrey did much better on the trip back, and we were able to float around in the boat for awhile.
Grandma and Grandpa Harvey came up to play after we got back to shore. Aubrey had a blast playing with the dirt and canoe paddles. She probably would have stayed there all night except the sun had gone down and we were all shivering!

Bryan and Kathy's neighbor, Rae, made Aubrey this cute hat. She loved wearing it the whole way home, and kept saying, "Cute!" She almost got to wear it to bed tonight too, but we convinced her she could wear it first thing in the morning.
Overall, we had a blast. We will probably try to go without kids the next time we rent a canoe-but I am so glad we finally did it! Before we know it, we will have 2 little girls, and while we will still be able to do a lot of fun things- life is going to change and we might be stuck at home more for at least a couple months. We are excited though! Just a few more weeks at the most!
