Next Stop...Idaho Falls

After our trip to Utah, we drove up to Idaho Falls to see Lauren and Lindsey and their families. We always have so much fun with all the cousins up there. Ada and Emily looked like twins half the time. Cute girls.

Penny trying out Aunt Lauren's shoes.

Brynlee and Aubrey with their crimpy hair.

Penny has loved Ella since she was born. All the girls always wanted to hold her-but she is getting a little big for that and would only put up with it for a few seconds before she would arch her back and send Penny falling backwards.

Ada and Emily switched pajamas. So fun!

 Wagon fun.

Donuts for breakfast.

And a hail storm that was sure exciting for our girls who haven't seen snow forever.

Lindsey had a couple coats that Montanna and Eden had outgrown, and Ada was absolutely thrilled to receive this new church coat. Aunt Lindsey was suddenly her favorite.

One afternoon we grabbed some pizzas and all headed up to Cress Creek for a hike and to play by the river. Fun outing for everyone.

Taking a break from hiking.

It was another beautiful day. Slightly cold with the breeze, but otherwise perfect.

My sisters and all the kids.

The girls found a tree filled with ladybugs and loved collecting and counting them.

 Story time

And the Astles got a new piano right before we left. The kids all were so excited.

And a trip to the movies. What a fun week with all our cousins!

It was in the middle of our week in Idaho Falls when all our plans changed. We had shipped a car and all of our stuff to Yakima. Cameron received a call mid week from Spokane offering him a job at Sacred Heart. He initially said no, but then called back a few minutes later and asked for some time to think about it. We stressed and prayed and tried to picture whether changing our plans was even possible. We then made the leap to go to Spokane. It was a stressful time, but we are so excited to be in Spokane closer to family, at a wonderful job, and starting another new adventure. Just waiting now for Cameron's credentialing to go through and feel settled again.

Visiting Utah

We left California Tuesday afternoon and decided to stop in Vegas for the night. We found a great resort- but the pool was closed when we got there around 7. Luckily the hot tub was still open and that worked for the girls for the night. Then we had to stay and swim from 9-12 the next morning and then checked out and headed to Utah to visit Grandma and Grandpa Harvey.

I didn't realize that we hardly took any pictures. The first part of the trip we were stressed with making arrangements for Yakima, trying to find a house, wrapping up everything we needed to in California, as well as playing and enjoying the beautiful Utah spring weather.

We were lucky enough that our trip was timed perfectly with our Kristi's sister getting married in Salt Lake. So we were able to see our Texas cousins- James, Matthias, and Hannah. The girls always have a blast together.

And who gets to walk Sophie is always a big deal. We love the trails down the street from Grandma's house.

Lamb's Ear

We snuck away to a Jazz game with Leigh and Todd one evening. It was a great game that went into overtime, but unfortunately the Jazz lost. Still a great night out.

Playing with Dad's phone while going out to eat one evening.

Popsicles with Grandma and cousin Hazel

And a stop at the waterfall up the road. Perfect time of year to see the water rushing down.

Visits with Great Grandma  & Grandpa Brough

Clearfield Aquatic Center is always a must!

The girls found orange hair dye at Grandma's and thought it was so fun to have orange hair.

And Penny's pancakes at Granny Annies! A fun filled week in Utah!

Final Goodbye to Redlands

And of course the final couple days were spent cleaning and packing, as well as saying final goodbyes to friends and neighbors. We will miss them all so much!

Maya and Penny on the swings.

And Penny and Jane

Our good friends the Longs with our girls.

We had a dessert party at our house with our friends. Fruit pizza, cookie decorating, and lots of laughing and fun.

One last girls night as well. These girls showered me with gifts, good conversation, great memories, and much more. I love them all.

Cora and Jane got bunnies for Easter right before we left. The girls loved them.

Our neighbors from Ogden (and now California), drove up to Redlands for one last goodbye. It has been fun being close to the Swaners the past 5 years of so.

Lots of time with friends.

Our next door neighbors, the Eldredges, had baby Cole only days before we left. We are glad we didn't miss meeting him.

And a very tough goodbye to the Fowlers. Caitlyn and I became best friends in the past couple years, and our kids were so close as well.

The night before we left we had dinner and smores at the Longs. A great way to finish out our time in California.

Bonnie, Erin, and I spent a lot of time together in the past year. Neighbors are the best and most convenient friends.

Our last hugs goodbye.

And a final farewell to our house. We will be back to visit someday-without a doubt.
