Ada Ski Date
Ada and I went up skiing at the end of January together. 5th graders get a pass here in Washington so we have made it our goal to take our 5th graders on a ski date by themselves. Aubrey went with Cameron last year, and Ada and I went together this year. We went to Silver Mountain. Riding the gondola up.
Ada is so much fun to ski with. She is fearless, and funny, and daring, and just so much fun to spend the day with. We had great weather and pretty good snow.
Loved spending the day together!

Happy New Year & Penny's Baptism
Penny's Baptism finally arrived. Feels like she has been waiting a long time for it! Bryan and Kathy were able to come into town on New Years Eve and stay a whole week. We loved it! Unfortunately, while they were here a crazy storm came through that shut down all the passes for days due to avalanches and horrible ice and snow. So unfortunately my parents had to attend via Zoom. We are grateful for technology and to be able to still have them there.
Penny and her cute friend Shaylin. They are 2 days apart in age and great friends.
The dads with their girls.
Thanks to Zach for bringing Grandma to the baptism. It was special to have her there.
Penny and Great Grandma
And a picture of Cameron and Penny
The girls sang I Will Walk With Jesus with some other primary kids as the musical number. Then our girls sang it on their own in Sacrament the next day. Aubrey did amazing accompanying the opening and closing song in her first time playing in public with people singing with her. Ada conducted the music. There were 4 kids getting baptized all together, so we didn't have to do any talks from our side.
Pictures all around! We are sad we missed a picture with everyone, but that's usually hard to do with all the chaos.
But we did catch a family picture in front of the temple.
We had Camerons parents and the Daltons over after the baptism for lasagna and salad and to play for awhile.
It is always fun to have Grandma and Grandpa here for a visit. We watched Dear Evan Hanson on New Year's Eve and stayed up until midnight. The girls had been waiting forever to watch the show as we have been listening to the music for months.

Face masks!
And some app the girls like playing with. Cute.
Penny's baptism box from Grandma and Grandpa.
Card games. We had fun playing Cover Your Assets.
Our midnight picture! Unfortunately Penny woke up at 2am and was sick all night long and into the morning. After a good nap she recovered. And gratefully no one else got it.
Ada lost her very last tooth!
Not being in school meant Paige got to tag along on a brunch date with Cameron and I and his parents.
A big snowstorm came through and we played a lot in the snow. Cameron pulled the kids in the sled behind his truck. Great memories!
Snow caves
Didn't get many pictures of the sledding behind the truck.
Ada snuggling with the worry monster. She had a hard time when Grandma and Grandpa had to go home. Thanks for a wonderful visit and helping make Penny's day special!

Ski Date
Snuck away to Silver Mountain to ski while Bryan and Kathy were in town for Penny's baptism. It was a great day...better than this picture shows! There were foggy spots, the occasional snow shower, but also spots of sun and the clouds did clear out.
We found a run with the best powder I have probably ever skied on .
Always fun to get away.
