September Randoms

We got to help paint fire hydrants for an Eagle project for a kid in our war. The girls loved it! And they love driving past the hydrants that we did.

I think our family had 10 hydrants to paint. It was a perfect amount. The girls thought it was great, but by the tenth they were beginning to lose steam. Great morning out!

Great future service project if anyone needs one!

Paige and her friend Ivie at the park.

Cast is off!!!! September 22. Yea!

And she lucked out and got it off on a sunny warm September day. Which meant a swim in the 'hot tub'!

The younger girls went home with friends after early soccer games, and ended up at the other ward's primary program practice. This is what kept them entertained the whole time! And yes, they put them all away too!

Haha. Fun memory.

Ada and a school project she made with friends. The layers of Earth.

Cameron's pizzas

Went out on a date with friends. We saw Dear Evan Hanson. Our family has loved the soundtrack for a long time, and it was fun to see the movie. We loved it!

Soccer snacks! Best ever!

And our fall pretty much consisted of soccer, soccer practice, soccer games, and more soccer. Each girl had a game every Saturday, which meant most Saturdays we were at the fields from about 9am-3pm.

We got some beautiful sunny days, and some wet rainy games.

Lauren and I entered a contest at my dentist office, and Lauren won! Which meant 2 tickets to Jason Aldean. Ada and I went out on a date. The concert was okay, but we had a blast. Ada loved going to her first concert. It was fun to have the one on one time.

No covid in here! We were supposed to wear masks but we hardly even saw one inside.

Always fun to be at a concert!

And the apple picking was amazing at the Dalton's this year! They bought a new apple press which meant lots of apple juice!

Picking all the apples to press

Watching the cider get made.

And of course lawn games to finish out the night.

The kids were good helpers and loved making the juice. I think this day they made at least 5 gallons.

Lindsey Sterling

When we arrived at the concert we got to our seats. Our seats were the second row to the front.

Just waiting for the show to start. The big A is the symbol of Lindsey's album Artemis.

Waiting in line to get into the concert, we still don't know that we are seeing Lindsey Sterling yet.

Hiking to the M on the mountain, the next day.

Just chilling at the top of the mountain.

Getting ready to hike back down.

Blizzards for lunch after hiking to the M.

Us at the garden of 1000 Buddah statues.

Us walking around the garden.

Pretending this Buddah is our grandfather.

In the middle of the arch of flags.

Climbing the ladder in the arch.

Here we are in an old cathedral.

We are just sitting, we did not know papa was taking a picture of us though. So we look weird.

Lunch in St. Regis before we have to go home.

At the river in between Arlee and St.Regis.

Here we are at a store in Arlee. We are just browsing around.

Eating dinner at the hotel before the concert.

-Aubrey's first blog post!

She had such a special weekend with Gram & Papa and Lydia. Cameron drove Lydia and Aubrey to St. Regis to meet up with my parents. The girls knew they were going to a concert, but knew nothing else. The were so surprised to be able to go and see Lindsey Sterling. I heard the concert was incredible! And a perfect late summer evening with perfect weather.

After the concert I think they grabbed food and hung at the hotel. Aubrey and Lydia said they stayed up until 1am just talking and watching TV.

The next day was packed with adventures. Breakfast followed by hiking to the M, blizzards at Dairy Queen, visiting Cathedrals and Buddahs, rivers and stores, and just enjoying a wonderful weekend making  memories. This was such a wonderful get away for them and one they will remember forever. Gram & Papa spoiled the girls and Aubrey came home and told us all about it and still talks about it often months later.

Paige's 5th Birthday

Paige turned 5 on September 13! We had a friend party a few weeks before. Half her friends get to head to kindergarten, so we had the party after the older kids started school, but before kindergarten began. It was a perfect morning! We played a balloon stomping game, made slime, and played bingo.

Quincy, Colette, Aubrey, Paige, Boston, Ivie, and Graham.

Paige has grown a lot just in the past few months. She is slowly becoming more social and now begs for a playdate daily. While she still won't talk to most people, she will participate at preschool, in primary class, and with her friends.

Cute kids!

Stomping on the balloons game

Bingo!

Presents.

Donut cake

Her friend's spoiled her!

And then the real birthday! Paige's birthday was also her first day of preschool for the year. She was so happy about that! We celebrated a bit in the morning, sent her off to school (she got to bring the snack), and then took her friends Graham and Ivie out for Wendy's kids meals and Krispy Kreme donuts.

She really wanted a rainbow cake. It turned out amazing!

Big pink rainbow cake!

And present time!

Cute Strawberry Dinosaur dress from Gram.

So excited! Birthdays are the best at this age.

And finally off to school!

Looking grown up like her sisters!

Paige always loves the balloons at the grocery store by our house, so I really wanted to surprise her with a balloon. For some reason on her birthday they had a huge tower of balloons to choose from. She couldn't believe I let her choose this huge one. She was giddy. I wish I would have gotten a video of her. She giggled  and laughed and laughed and thought the huge ballon was so crazy.

We even walked the balloon all the way down the street to pick up Aubrey from the bus in the afternoon.

Off to Teacher Barbara's and Teacher Jill's

And the lunch date with her cute friends. We probably stayed at Wendy's for an hour and a half. They put together their kid's meal toys, ate their food, and then had frosty.

And then donuts! The lobby wasn't open so we had to drive through and eat outside.

One more picture with her huge balloon.

The cake turned out just like she dreamed it would

And her beautiful new nightgown to send our 5 year old off to bed.

Paige still loves her babies and got a whole set to help her take care of them.

And looking pretty fashionable on her way to school

Love our little girl
