Idaho Falls Visit & More Snow

It is hard to get good pictures with 6 little girls running around. Cameron was working 4 nights in a row this past week, so the girls and I headed to Idaho Falls Sunday through Wednesday to have some fun with sisters and cousins. We had a blast just hanging out and watching the kids play.

Lauren's basement is always a fun place to play. There is so much room to run around, jump, dance, and climb.

Aubrey showing me a stone. She asked to have her picture taken with it.

The four cousins we visited: Montanna, Brynlee, Emily, and Eden

Cardboard box slide. The girls all loved it.

Monday was President's Day and we visited a carousel museum. It was pretty crowded, and going anywhere with that many kids is bound to be a bit stressful. But the girls loved the horses and running around.

I need to get a better picture of this dress we made for Aubrey. It looks a little silly in this picture because she has the shawl on her head, but we took one of my old prom dresses and cut the bottom off and put a tie on and Aubrey thinks it is the best thing ever.  She says she is the 'Red Taylor Swift".

I have had a bit of the winter blues going on. Snow, snow, and more snow. Cameron suggested we take a walk this afternoon. It was still pretty cold, but the fresh air did all of us some good. And the sun felt so nice. We got at least 9 inches of snow yesterday, and on top of what we already had, we still have piles to melt until Spring is here.

It is hard to tell in this picture, but the snow is still over the girls heads near the sidewalk.

Loving our little Ada!

Valentine's Day

Today it was impossible to get a good picture of my girls. Yesterday they got a package from Grandma & Papa Dalton and were so excited. They love their new scarves. They also had fun sticking stickers on the windows and eating M&Ms. Ada even has them all over her face in this picture.

My cute girls a few days ago.

Sporting her new scarf. She has taken it everywhere we have gone so far.

The best picture that I got on Valentine's Day. Too wiggly. We woke up and ate maple bars that I had made the night before. They were delicious. The rest of the morning and afternoon were just spent playing at home. Cameron worked the night before so he slept and then had to head back into work in the evening. So we went and brought Grandma & Grandpa Harvey their Valentine's and had a delicious steak dinner and lava cakes with them and Leigh, Todd, and Kate before coming back home and heading to bed.

Overall, a very fun Valentine's Day. Love how excited the girls get over the little things. We got them a box of the candy hearts and we should have video taped their excitement. Ada was jumping up and down. Here is hoping for a good nights sleep for all of us, and a lot less sugar tomorrow!

Funny Moments

I have to post this because it is just too funny. Sometimes arguments between the girls are best forgotten, but this one is one to remember.

Monday morning I was taking the girls to the library. For some reason, Aubrey thought Ada was throwing boogers at her. I think Ada is learning how to tease her big sister, and was in reality just trying to touch her jacket. Anyways, Aubrey kept complaining to me that Ada was throwing boogers. I tried to tell Ada to stop and told Aubrey to ignore her, but there is only so much you can do when you are driving.

We pulled up to the library and Aubrey had had enough. She shouted at Ada, "Ada, this isn't a parade!"

I had to laugh out loud. Let's hope they only throw candy at the parades we go to in the future.

Snowmen and Swimming

Aubrey has been talking about making a snowman since it has snowed. Unfortunately, we had just gotten light, fluffy snow, and couldn't do much with what we had. So on Saturday the sun had come out for a bit and softened the snow, and we decided we better make the snowman.

Aubrey decided her snowman needed a crown and a carrot nose. Worked for me!

Playing with Daddy

Saturday afternoon we took the girls to the Layton Surf n Swim. We had a blast. At $6 for our whole family, I am sure we will go back soon. Ada surprised us the most. She would run around, fall completely under the water, we would have to go and pull her up and she would just let us wipe her face off and she would go at it again.

Every 20-30 minutes the waves would come and the girls liked them half the time.

Leigh & Todd and Kate & Jordan joined us for swimming. The girls always have so much fun with their aunts and uncles.

We went out to ice cream after and had a great evening. What a fun day!
