4 Months Old

Adalyn Hazel is 4 months old!

We had her 4 month check-up yesterday as well as a few shots. She did great and even had a few smiles for the doctor and nurses. Here are her stats:

Height: 24.57 inches (60 percentile)

Weight: 13 lbs 15 ounces (56 percentile)

Head Circumference: 16.0 inches (40 percentile)

She did so well with her shots. She didn't even get a temperature or have a bad night. She treated us by sleeping from 8 to 8. Hopefully she keeps it up.

Dalton Family Christmas

My parents were able to come down the Monday right after Christmas to visit. We felt so lucky to have them here. With my parents came Lindsey & Adam and their two girls and Ben & Linda Lee with their kids. We missed Brian and Lauren who decided they better stay home with baby Emily (3.5 weeks). All the cousins had a blast and it was so good to spend time with my family. I only wished all of them lived closer.

My parents spoiled the kids, of course. We opened presents and then all headed down to the pool.

All of the kids loved the pool and hot tub. Aubrey was positive that the hot tub was TOO hot and would not get in the first night, even though all of her cousins were doing it.

Grandma and Papa bought all the kids pajamas. Thanks to Linda Lee we were kind of able to get a picture of all of them together.

On Tuesday we visited the Kangaroo Zoo. It has a ton of big blow up toys. All the kids loved it, but I think Eden had the most fun. She looked so little playing on the big toys, and her smile was so cute.

Lydia smiling.

We also got to take Ada swimming for the first time at 4 months old. She LOVED it! She squealed and grunted and smiled. She was adorable.

Smiley girl.

It is hard to find Ada without a smile on her face. When she isn't smiling, she is usually pretty easy to read. She is either hungry or wants to sleep. We love our little Ada!

We packed our days full while my parents were around. We walked around Ogden's Christmas Village in the evening, ordered room service, ate lots of candy and fruit snacks and drank lots of juice. Aubrey even got to take a nap with Montanna and Eden, and surprisingly fell asleep. We already miss everyone. Hopefully we can get together again soon!

Christmas Day

We got Ada's stocking finished in time for Christmas. It turned out really cute. Thanks to Kathy for helping me finish it up Christmas Eve.
Ada slept in til about 7:30 Christmas morning, and while Cam gave her a bottle I started getting our breakfast ready. We had biscuits and gravy, bacon, and scrambled eggs.

Our tree and stockings and Ada trying to hide.

I enjoy slowly getting Christmas presents when I see deals starting as early as the end of October. I feel like I save money by buying early. But I don't know if I do because I didn't realize how much I bought until I see it all under the tree. We have spoiled girls this year!

Aubrey checking out the stockings. She was especially excited about the Tinkerbell Pez dispenser that Santa brought her.

Aubrey was a good helper. She loved helping Ada open her presents and showing her what she got.

Aubrey got a lot of board games this year. We went out in the afternoon on Black Friday and I found some great deals. For Christmas she got Don't Spill the Beans, Memory, and Candy Land.

Bubbles!

Watching all the action!

The mess after.

I really think Ada loved her new high chair. She felt so special sitting up with us at breakfast and being right in the action. She kept smiling and kicking her feet. We also love having the extra space in our kitchen.

Aubrey acting like she is going to eat breakfast. She has been a stinker lately when it comes to eating. She just doesn't. We have tried to avoid sweets until she eats good food, but sometimes that is impossible this time of year. We threaten that she will go without dessert and sometimes that is okay with her. But, she has loved the Cutie oranges and she ate tons of strawberries at the Harvey's on Christmas Eve.

Ada loves her little ball from her cousins Brynlee and Emily.

Even though Cameron had to work part of the day, we had a great day. I loved staying home and having a family Christmas with our little family. It was fun to see Aubrey so excited. Hopefully we were able to share with her some of the true meaning of Christmas.

We are excited to see Grandma and Papa Dalton and cousins tomorrow! We are lucky and they are all coming to Ogden.

Christmas Eve

We started our Christmas by making the Sliter/Dalton traditional dessert-cookies and cream. Yum! We ate this on every Christmas Eve growing up.

The Harvey's were nice enough to celebrate Christmas on Christmas Eve since Cameron had to work Christmas Day. Ada woke us up a little earlier than we would have liked (she was too excited), so Cameron and I each got to sneak in a run before we headed down to the Harvey's. We played for a few hours in the morning, Kathy helped me finish Ada's stocking, and then we headed to Grandma and Grandpa Brough's for a soup lunch.
Aubrey found a soccer ball and loved it. I didn't know she could kick and dribble the ball so well. We don't have any snow so we were able to play outside. I will have to get some pictures from Todd.

Ada is getting good at her gymnastics and decided to show off.

Aubrey can still do it too!

Aubrey got an adorable rocking horse from Grandma and Grandpa. I don't know how I managed not to get a picture of her on it.

Aubrey loved helping everyone open presents. Next year she will have to take turns with Ada.

Ada is starting to put everything in her mouth and chew.

Aubrey and Ada in their new slippers from Kate. Aubrey wouldn't take them off until she got in bed.

Kate and Jordan and their Campbell's cups.

Sorry I didn't get many pictures with Grandma and Grandpa and Leigh and Todd. I think Todd got a bunch so I will have to add some later. We ate wonderful food and had a nice evening with family. Aubrey put herself to bed multiple times throughout the day, so even though she didn't take a nap, she had some quiet time and actually did pretty good all day.
We brought the girls home and put them to bed and got ready for Christmas morning!
