Early Spring Activities

Elementary school dance.

I won tickets to the Clairvoyants and they put on such a great show. I have no idea how they do any of it. And it was so fun that they came out after the show and let us all meet them.

We took home a signed deck of cards that had magic tricks for the girls to learn.

Spring skiing is the best!

Warm days and sunshine. And all of our kids ski so well now!

But can you tell who is still just slow enough to take pictures of still?

We loved the community soccer league. It was just fun soccer. Show up, play soccer just for fun. All the girls had a blast and we will definitely do it again next year.

Ada especially was fun to watch play with a group of mostly boys. She killed it every week too.

Penny's cute team.

And I guess no pictures of Aubrey. But she got put with an older group and we were impressed with how well she jumped in with much bigger kids and even scored a number of times as well.

Spring is here! First flowers.

Orchestra concert

Aubrey made the varsity basketball team. Which brought back so many memories. Here she is playing against her soccer teammate Holland.

And her teammate Dylan

And against her good friend Amber.

Spring Randoms

Pizza making.

We still love Dad's pizza

Ada made a cake for the ward talent show. Adams Ward. It was beautiful and delicious.

Penny and her friends did the cutest lip sink and dance to Jailhouse Rock.

Curly selfie.

Troll Twister.

We love Fynlee!

And Penny got her braces off!

What a big change!

First day of Spring ice cream at Dairy Queen

Penny's absolutely beautiful sand cake.

It was so pretty!

Penny's peanut butter cup cookies.

Aubrey and her friends at a bowling birthday party.

Ada, Penny and I went to the high school musical of Mary Poppins. We all loved it. Especially the Banks Family (Mrs. Banks and Michael are friends of ours)

And Burt was all of our favorite.

Mary Poppins did an incredible job too. Fun show!

Seattle with Aubrey

I had the opportunity to buy some Dear Evan Hanson tickets in Seattle for a cheap price. I decided to take Aubrey on a quick road trip. We have never taken our girls to Seattle, and it felt like a good time. We got everyone else off to school on Friday and then started the drive. Of course there was a huge snowstorm that morning and the roads were crazy the first 1.5 hours. We saw mostly semis on the sides of the road.

She worked on her online soccer referee class as we drove, and we listened to a book.

We stopped to see the Seattle Temple before finding our hotel.

It felt like Spring!

And we had time to walk around Pike's Place Market. We found some samosas, clam chowder, and more treats I can't remember.

We love samosas.

Clam chowder bowl

The iconic gum wall. Aubrey was so grossed out. We did not stay long.

Yellow gum!

We then walked about 1.5 miles to the Space Needle.

We got a beautiful view as the sky cleared up right before sunset.

Went back to the hotel for a little break and then headed to the show.

This was our least favorite of the Broadway shows we have seen. There just isn't a lot of action or characters. But we know most of the words to every song.

And the theater was amazing.

Even though the show didn't quite live up to all our hopes and dreams, I am so glad that we had this adventure and get away.

We slept in, did a quick workout, ate breakfast at the hotel, then walked to Pike's Place again to look at more things. We tried Pierogi Pierogi (and they were just okay-unpopular opinion I'm sure).

Then we happened upon a St. Patrick's Day parade before heading home to everyone else.

Cameron and Ada got to go see the show in Spokane. And then Cameron and I got to go see it together.
