It is starting to look like Spring here! I went on a walk the other day with the girls and I could smell the sweetest flowers. I am not sure what the smell was coming from, but trees are starting to bud and bloom again here. We have heard that the blossoms on the orange trees smell amazing, and we can't wait for that time to come. There are still plenty of trees full of oranges though, so harvest time will come first.
And I am sure you are all more than tired of seeing pictures of Disneyland. But here they are anyway. We were able to go on Thursday and it was a perfect day. I think January/February is the ideal time to go. Kids are all back in school and everyone is done vacationing until Spring break. We hardly waited in a line all day. And when we did wait, it was only 10 to 15 minutes for the popular attractions. With the exception of the new Cars ride. We have yet to try that one out and the line was still about an hour. Same with the Frozen characters, Anna and Elsa. The wait to see them was 2.5 hours! Hard to believe anyone waits that long.
We saw a lot of characters that we had never seen before. And in addition to these pictures, we saw a show with Belle in it, and saw Rapunzel but the line to see her was long as well.
Ariel
Ada had only seen Snow White before so Aubrey was glad she got a turn.
Woody
Buzz (Aubrey and I saw Jesse too, but waited for Cameron and Ada to catch up and she was gone)
Waiting for the Toy Story ride.
Donald Duck
Duffy the Disney Bear (no line for this one....who knew he existed?)
We worried about bringing Penny. Not so much about her behaving well, more just being around a lot of people. But we kept her in the stroller and she slept away most of the day.
Penny's first trip to Disneyland (6.5 weeks)
Peter Pan
Red the Fire Truck.
I think we have been to Disneyland 5-6 times, and I think on Thursday we finally made it through most of the rides. I told Cameron that the next 2 years are probably the only times we will take our kids to Disneyland because after being able to come as go as we please, it would be hard to fit it all in in just a couple of days. We are spoiled.
We also chatted that going this often is a blast and a fun activity, but for us some of the magic does wear off. I guess that is true with anything. But the girls still love it and we are all exhausted by the end of the day.
Traffic is always hard to deal with, but somehow we made it home from Disneyland this time in just over an hour. What a great day!
