Ada's Friend Party

I've been telling the girls for the past few months that I would try to let them have a birthday party this year. Ada decided to wait until after school started to have hers. We finally got around to scheduling a date and inviting friends. We decided to have a station where the girls could do makeup and nails, as well as play Don't Eat Pete (always a hit), eat pizza, and just play, play, play.

7 year old girls are actually pretty funny when it comes to nails and hair. They loved it. And couple girls went a little crazy- but makeup remover wipes saved the day.

Followed by cupcakes. So much sugar. 

And making fluffy slime and bath bombs once the friends went home. 

Paige's 2nd Birthday

Paige is 2! She caught on quickly that the day was all about her. Her sisters were also quite excited and haven't completely figured out that Paige is big enough to do things herself now. She had a lot of 'help' unwrapping her presents, telling her what to do, etc. 

We were also lucky enough to have Grandma and Grandpa Dalton in town for Paiges birthday. They were here for a conference and we loved seeing them in the morning and evening.

After breakfast and sending the girls off to school we went to Penny's gymnastics class and then the library. 

During nap time I made a bird cake

And presents and cake with cousins and grandparents in the evening.

I don't think she actually got to blow out the candle but she didn't care.

We then got to celebrate Lydia's birthday while my parents were in town.

Just some random pictures from the end of summer and September. Legos are always a favorite at our place. 

We can't really go on a run with Paige unless we see 'the horses'. So we have gotten in the habit of running the same loop over and over. 

I bought these two girls dollar store fairy wings and they were so cute. They played for hours together.

And being crazy with the car one afternoon. Love how well Penny and Paige play together. 

We watched Penny's friend McKInley for the day with her little sister Callie. Penny and McKinley played all day long. They would come up in different outfits. So fun to have such a good buddy. And it made for an easy day for me that they entertained each other so well.

And loving that our cousins are so close all the time. It still feels like a dream. Celebrating Lydia's birthday. 

Paige is obsessed with babies and especially loves Lewis and Oakley. 

We went over to the Daltons one evening to celebrate Lydia's birthday and eat the cake she made all by herself. The cousins love getting together. It is always a little crazy with 9 kids, but they have such a good time together.
