Easter

We had a great Easter! The weather was gorgeous and we really did just enjoy the day together. We had church at 11:30, so we woke up and just relaxed and slowly got ready in the morning. It is hard to go to church and try to get two very excited girls to sit still, but eventually they settled down. Right before church started, Ada spotted a lady with a yellow rose. The lady noticed that Ada liked it and gave it to her, and she was Ada's best friend the rest of the meeting. The only thing Ada would do was look back and smile. Over and over and over and over again. I was worried she was driving her crazy, but at the same time she wasn't making noise or being wild. The lady came up after church and gave Ada a big hug. We love our California ward!

Our three beautiful girls!

We had found these dress up Rapunzel dresses a month or so ago for $5 each. What a steal! Made for a good Easter morning present since I am not sure yet if the Easter Bunny comes to our house. They weren't disappointed in the dresses from mom and dad.

Saturday morning we colored eggs. I feel the same way about coloring eggs as I do about carving pumpkins. It is kind of something to get done and check off the list. But the girls loved it and immediately after the eggs were colored they started having egg hunts (and dropping them all on the concrete).

Sunday evening we had two other families over for a ham dinner and egg hunt. These girls had so much fun together. We are grateful for the friends we have made in California. Both of the dads in these families are resident doctors in the Loma Linda area.

Egg hunt! Each kid got to find 10 eggs. I was worried my kids were going to get sick because of all the sugar they ate, but we made it through the night!

And I have to throw on a few random pictures from our life! Penny got some 'new' clothes from our little friend Emjae. She is in all of Aubrey & Ada's hand me downs, and it is fun to dress her in some different things. Plus, she is starting to wear 6 month clothes, and it was winter when our other girls wore that size, so it is nice not to have to go out and buy too much. Thanks!

Today we made strawberry jam. I don't know why I haven't done this since we moved to California, but I hate store jam. So good!

Our jam!

We discovered our girls can do handstands

Cam took the girls to the pool Saturday afternoon and they had so much fun. The pool is getting warm enough to really swim in. We are prepared to spend a lot of time here as the weather continues to get warmer. Penny has stuck her toes in, but it is still too cold for her.

Ada's moving pool

And the mess we get to deal with tonight. I guess I shut the door a little too hard and it shattered. It seems like once we get something taken care of, another mess is in our face. Since we moved here we have been fixing problem after problem, checking one box off our list only to put another on, but we are learning that life is just full of problems to solve!

4 Months!

Penny Marie turned 4 months on April 9! We took her in for shots on the 11th, and she was a trooper. Our new office didn't give me a copy of her stats, but here is approx. where she is:

Weight: 12 lbs 3 ounces (12 percentile)
Height: 50 percentile
Head Circumference: 75 percentile (I think they might have measure this a bit big)

Still our little sleeper, although she has been awake more. Takes 3-4 naps a day ranging from 40 minutes to 2.5 hours. Starting to laugh a lot, and Aubrey is so excited that she can make her laugh. She has dipped her toes in the pool and hated it, but I am sure as the pool gets warmer she will like it more. Loves her sisters and Mommy and always smiles when Daddy comes home. Usually she gets up once a night. We put her to bed about 8:30 to 9, she wakes up around 2-4 am, and then sleeps until about 8am.  She got her first run in the stroller last week and silently looked around almost the whole time until she fell asleep. Loving the warm weather. Still in size 3 months clothes, but some 6 month she can start to wear. We will probably have to get her some new summer clothes since it was winter when both her sisters were in 6 month clothes.

Loving our baby girl!

So Much Sun!

We had some really sunny days last week and really soaked it all up! While we aren't quite ready for summer to hit here yet (unlike everyone up north), we did enjoy the pool and plenty of time outside.

Soaking up the sun!

We invited friends to the pool on Tuesday and spent a good 3 hours there. Pretty sure we will make a habit of it this summer.

Great Grandma Dalton sent outfits a month ago or so, and Ada loves hers! So cute.

Sun Baby!

Cam wanted an updated photo of our family. Here is what we got!

We went to the park one evening and Cameron and I were talking and Ada shouted, "Look at me!" She really was proud of herself, despite what she looks like in the picture. Our little daredevil!

Bike ride.

More park fun.

Had to hit up Disneyland again. We are hoping to make it at least one more time before our passes don't work for a few months. The summer months get too busy so we will probably try to make it to the beach or mountains more.

Poor Aubrey. I told her that she needs to ask Grandma to send her the picture of her Uncle Ben on this ride. She rode on Splash Mountain with me, and I could tell she was scared to death. I told her she never had to do it again. But then Cameron convinced her to do it. She says she likes it, but I think she keeps doing it to make her Daddy proud.

Leaving Utah

We had to go say goodbye to sweet little Hazel once more before heading home. Leigh and Todd were about to head home with her too!

Harvey Family shot (We missed you Taylor, Kristi & Family!)

Ariel puzzle!

Ada sharing her color book with Carson

Headed to the castle park! The girls love walking the dogs too....the dogs, not so much. But they put up with it. And its nice when Guido is around and they each get a dog to walk.

On our way back to California we spent the night in Las Vegas. We made the mistake of walking to the strip. It was so crowded, and we really only made it to the M&M store, which was also full of people. We got our Vegas fix in the short time we were there.

Bowling

I made the mistake of mentioning to Aubrey that maybe we should go bowling while we were in Utah. And throughout the week she reminded me a number of times. We made it bowling Saturday afternoon before heading out on Sunday. Hopefully it was everything she thought it would be!

Aubrey used the ramp a couple times but then decided she liked pushing it herself the rest of the time.

Watching Daddy (or Grandpa, or Kate) bowl.

Here goes Carson bowling for the first time!

The girls' bowling shoes were so cute. Wish we could have taken them home!

Loving the bowling alley!
