Happy New Year!! We had a relaxing New Year's Eve. I took the bigger girls to the pool in the morning and then out to lunch and a little post Christmas shopping. We had been searching for a new Christmas tree for next year and finally found one we loved for over 50% off! The last one was the floor display that was already decorated- so in addition to the new tree we also got to take home all the decorations on it as well. It will be exciting to set it up next year.
We let the girls stay up until 9pm to celebrate the New Year in New York watching the ball drop. The basically ran around the house being crazy for hours thinking it was so cool to stay up.
They were out and asleep by 9:30 and we followed shortly after. Cameron once again had Monday off and we took the girls to see Moana. We all loved it. I think it was probably Penny's favorite movie too.
And just a couple of cute New Year's pictures
Sisters!
Just this past Saturday we needed to get out of the house and decided to take the girls bowling. It has been years. They were all so excited. Penny had lots of helpers. Ada ended up beating me by 1 point. We all had so much fun and created such fun memories. I think we will have to go bowling more often.
Loved bowling!!
More Paige snuggles.
Today was the girls first snow day!! School was cancelled due to freezing rain mixed with quite a bit of snow. Cameron just happened to have the day off once again. What a perfect time to have a random day off! We spent the morning playing with neighbors-inside and outside. Then we went sledding at a bigger hill near our house.
Going sledding on a decent hill was the last thing on my winter 'to-do' list. Now Spring can come whenever it wants to! (We wish- gotta put up with the cold for a few more months!)
Loved being outside while the girls sledded.
Family Pic to document the first Snow Day.
And Penny is a sunbeam at church! She acted excited to go to Primary until it actually came to going to Primary. She then screamed uncontrollably for nearly 2 hours. I had to teach my primary class so Paige got to tag along with me while Cam was left to deal with Penny. She never did go. I think she was just not expecting such a big change.
But yesterday she walked right in with only the slightest hesitation and stayed the whole time. I think she knew what to expect this time.
And of course Paige gets so many snuggles around here. I love the extra helpers most of the time.
And I was pretty impressed with Penny yesterday as she sat and patiently completely her whole perler bead circle without bumping it or spilling it at all. Great activity to keep her entertained for quite awhile. And glad she can start doing this with her sisters without my constant help.
