Vacationing in Denver

Hmmm, where to start!?  Well, in the last 2 weeks we have been running around a bunch.  We traveled to Denver to visit Taylor and Kristi and kids.  We also moved to a new apartment, our first move since we got married.  From late nights, and early rises, as well as a few graveyard shifts at work, we both managed to get sick!  Unfortunately Lesley got the worse of it.  Here are a few pics from our Denver trip.

We headed straight to Rocky Mountain National Park from the airport.  It was beautiful and we went for a hike around a lake.  The weather would have been great except for a horrible chilling wind.  We ran into a snow covered lake at the top.

Just after we found the hidden Beaver Pond!

Swinging at the park.  We went to the park twice and played with the boys.  Castle Attack was the favorite game on the big toy, and we had jousting matches on the soccer field.

We got to meet our new niece, Hannah!

Thanks for letting us come and play for the weekend, we loved it!!

Preparing for October

This past winter we participated in the Striders Winter Racing Series. The series began with a 5K in February, followed by a 10K, then 10 miler, then half marathon, and finished with a 30K (approximately 18.75 miles) last Saturday. We had a blast running a race every 2 weeks. The weather was cold for most of the races, but it wasn't ever terrible.

Here is a picture of Cameron finishing the 30K. He averaged 7 minute pace in just about every race. He kept getting in better and better shape. He is signed up to run the Utah Valley Marathon in June, and plans to run the Top of Utah Marathon in September. It is racing season again!

Unfortunately, we will be skipping the St. George Marathon this year. Instead, we are expecting our first baby to in October! I am now about 16 weeks along, and so far have been having a wonderful pregnancy! I haven't gotten sick yet-just really tired, but I am even getting used to that. We are very excited!

Other good news- Cameron finished his RN year in nursing this past week! He will take the state test in about a month, and then begin working as a nurse.

We are looking forward to our first summer vacation next weekend. We are headed to visit Taylor & Kristi in Denver and play with our nephews and new niece!
