Beach Trip & 3 Weeks Old!

On Saturday we decided to head to the beach about an hour and a half away. We got to the beach just after 11 and the temperatures stayed about 70 the whole time we were there. It is nice to go to the beach because for the most part the girls will entertain themselves and we can just sit back and relax. Penny did great as well. She is still little enough that she is sleeping most of the time, and was just happy to relax in her car seat.

Getting all the toys ready!

Aubrey loved playing in the waves and the wet sand, but Ada was happier playing in the dry sand away from the water. The water was cool, but not freezing. I was surprised by how much time Aubrey spent in the water without getting too cold.

Playing with the girls.

Penny sleeping away.

Cameron started digging a whole, and the girls got pretty excited.

Aubrey also had a blast jumping over waves and running along the beach with Daddy. We had a great day!

Penny is growing up too. She was three weeks old on Monday.

Cameron took the girls to the park one afternoon and Aubrey was so proud that she learned how to do the fire pole by herself.

We love playing at the park!

Ada fell off the kitchen stool yesterday and gave us a scare. It seems like with her it is just one injury after another. It was deep enough that Cameron took her in to see if she needed stitches. Luckily they decided it would heal with only minor scarring.

Christmas 2013

The tree! Santa came. All ready for Christmas morning.

Penny on Christmas morning with a new toy.

Nothing beats watching the excitement of your little family on Christmas morning. So excited about absolutely anything. We had fun celebrating together as a family.

It was about 80 degrees here on Christmas day. Record highs throughout the state. We have been meaning to get pictures by the orange trees by our house since they have turned orange. So we took an afternoon walk on Christmas day and had our own little photo shoot.

Cameron took the girls to the hot tub Christmas evening while I stayed behind with Penny. We all had a great day! Merry Christmas!

Christmas Eve

The Relief Society at church brought us a few meals this week, and one day they brought a kit to bake a big cookie and decorate it. Unfortunately I burned the cookie a bit so it wasn't too tasty, but the girls had a blast putting the frosting and decorations on. It was a great activity that kept them entertained for quite awhile.

On Christmas Eve we got together with some friends. Three families are in the same program as Cameron, just different years, and three families were resident families. We had a blast with about 10 little kids under 5. We ate a delicious ham dinner, the kids did a gift exchange, played a lot, decorated cookies, and ate dessert. Such a fun night, and once again we are grateful for the friends we have been able to make since moving here.

So excited about the gifts from the dollar store exchange.

Decorating cookies for Santa. A huge mess...but the kids loved it.

Busy, busy.

We also saw this cool house a few nights before Christmas.

And of course I have to add a picture of Penny. She was great on Christmas Eve, and stayed asleep in her car seat most of the time we were out.

Bath Time & More

Penny's first bath the other night. We had lots of help!

Both girls helping to wash her hair.

And getting her pajamas on.

Clean baby!

The girls love it when Penny opens her eyes. They will talk to her, mostly saying, "Hi Penny!"

Penny still has the newborn look! Eyes wide open.

Daddy has been taking the girls on bike rides. They love it!

And to the park by our house. It is nice to get them outside of the house and running around a bit. Loving these beautiful winter days.
