Cabin Day

Our last day in Montana was spent at the cabin. I was so glad to be able to stay a couple extra days to see Ben and Linda Lee and their kids Eli and Lydia. We were all sad that my mom got the flu and couldn't come with us. We missed her!

Papa took the girls and all the grandkids on a truck ride. They loved it! Aubrey loved any huckleberry she could spot, and we ended up walking up the cabin road finding them. She is a Montana girl!

Lydia and Aubrey playing in the row boat.

Brynlee, Lauren, and Eli. Brynlee and Eli are only 10 weeks apart.

My dad built a fire and it was a hit. Aubrey loves fire. We roasted her some hot dogs.

Me and Aubrey.

Building the fire. (My pictures are a little out of order!)

My grandparents came up later in the afternoon. Aubrey loved the jelly beans that they always made sure to have.

Papa with his only grandson so far.

Ben, Linda Lee, and Lydia on a boat ride. We didn't get too many pictures of Ben and Brian-they spent a few hours pike fishing.

Cute Lydia eating a Popsicle.

Aubrey, Papa, and Lydia getting ready to head out swimming.

Another picture out of place, but Aubrey loved watching Papa with the 'lights' (matches).

Six Mile and More Wayfarers

Cam, Leigh, and Todd spent their last day hiking Six Mile Peak in the Swan, and we finished the day at Wayfarers again. Aubrey and I got to stay a few extra days. You would think we all planned what we were going to wear that day! But really, we just all think alike I guess!

Triple jump off the rock.

Here are a couple pics from Six Mile Peak. They hit a bunch of snow once again, but successfully made it to the peak. And pushed over a tree on the way there.

Looking out at the view and Swan Lake.

Clearing the trail!

Heading home.

It's a good thing my parents decided not to get their windows washed until after the grandkids came!

Day 6- River Road and Date Night

Tuesday evening my parents watched the girls and we all went out to eat chicken and ribs at The Back Room in Columbia Falls. It was delicious! And it was fun to have a date night without Aubrey! After dinner we drove by the House of Mystery. Unfortunately, it was closed, but I don't think we would have paid $8 per person to really see it. We had to take a few pictures anyways.

Earlier that day we walked on the River Road to the Dam. Aubrey loved saying, "Morning!" to everyone that passed, and both Brynlee and Aubrey loved any dogs that we got to see. We got a couple cute family pics too.

Aubrey and Cameron looking down at the white water.

Looking cute!

Eating Popsicles on the porch-something we did quite often!

Mt Brown- Day 5

Monday morning, Leigh, Todd, Cameron, Brian, and my Dad headed back up to Glacier to hike Mt. Brown. It is a steep hike up to a lookout tower, and continues up a rocky mountain to the peak. Once again they got a beautiful day to enjoy. Even though they hiked through a lot of snow, they reached the peak without too much trouble. Here are a few pictures from the day.

Hiking up the hill. No snow yet....

Cameron and Brian taking a break.

Hiking up the snow! Cameron is on top in this pic.

Leigh pointing out the lookout tower.

If you look closely in this picture, you can see the lookout tower in the distance. When you do this hike, you reach the tower and think, "Okay, we have almost made it to the peak!" This picture puts it more into perspective.

Cam and Todd at the peak.

Looking down at the river and Going to the Sun road.

Cam heading back down.

More Montana....

Be prepared for a lot more Montana pictures. I use my blog as a journal of our lives as well so I want to make sure to record our vacation.

Aubrey's favorite color is definitely orange. She always wanted the orange fruit snacks, orange Popsicles, or anything else orange when she had a choice.

Playing in the little pool on the deck. Aubrey really loved pouring things from one container to the other.

On Sunday evening my grandparents came over. The sprinklers came on outside, and we let the girls go play in them. They loved it!

Swatting the mosquitos away with Papa. Aubrey thought this was hilarious.

One evening Aubrey helped Grandma mix up bread. Yum!

Trout & Arrow Lakes- Day 3

Lauren, Brian, and Brynlee came into town late on Friday night. It was fun for Aubrey to have a cousin to play with. Lauren and I played with the girls at the lake and house while Cam, Brian, Todd, and Leigh headed up to Glacier Park to hike into Trout and Arrow Lakes.

Hiking through the burn at the beginning of the hike.

We got perfect weather the whole time we were in Montana. Despite the fact that there was limited areas to hike due to the snow pack, they found enough to keep them busy!

Here they are at Arrow Lake.

Headed back to the car towards Lake McDonald.

After they got back home, we all headed to Wayfarer's to swim in the lake. Brynlee loved the water and would have stayed in forever. Everyone jumped off the rocks into the lake, and then we headed to Burger Town for ice cream. Finished up the night we pizza and popsicles and cards.

Me and Cam holding the girls while we head to Burger Town.

Brynlee loved the ice cream, but knew when she had enough. After a few bites, she kept shaking her head 'No'. What a crazy girl!
