Halloween Sneak Peek!

Strawberry Shortcake

Izzy from Jake and the Neverland Pirates

This is what Izzy looks like on the show. We couldn't find earrings, but I think Aubrey is pretty excited about her Pixie Dust Pouch and Bandana.

Ada's hat is a little silly. But I love this age where it really doesn't matter what you come up with. We will have a busy week with a church party on Wednesday, a special early Farmer's Market Trick-or-Treat on Thursday, and dinner with some friends Thursday evening. We will see if we make it through it all!

Saturday the city of Redlands is celebrating its 125th Anniversary. So there will be a lot going on all over the city. Should be a busy, fun week.

We had someone drop off some Halloween treats on our doorstep last Monday evening. The girls had already gone to bed. There was a plate full of treats that included two cupcakes. After seeing them, I told Cameron we better get rid of them because they were sure to make a big mess (bright blue frosting and black frosting!). Well, we forgot about them, and guess who spotted them for an after lunch treat!

Gorgeous evening tonight for a Sunday walk. Aubrey has become quite the bike rider within the past few weeks. We have a hard time keeping up with her!

33 Weeks and Disneyland (Again!)

I am terrible at taking pictures of myself when I am pregnant. I figured we better get a couple new ones so that I can look back someday. 33 weeks! 7 weeks seems so far away, yet so close at the same time. We sure are enjoying the beautiful weather here, but I am missing the change in wardrobe that usually comes with fall. Still shorts and t-shirt weather here!

Friday seemed like a good afternoon to sneak away to Disneyland once again after Cameron's morning classes. We really look forward to weekends here. Surprisingly it didn't get busy until around 5pm, when it suddenly got very busy because Mickey was having some sort of Halloween party! We were about to head out anyways. We felt like we fit a lot in. The girls were so excited to see some of their favorites right when we got there- Sophia the First...

and Jake! Our old neighbors introduced us to Jake and the Neverland Pirates, and it is a favorite at our house. Aubrey is going to be one of the characters from the show, Izzy, for Halloween.

Aubrey and Goofy. For some reason Ada seems to be a little scared of Goofy.

Goofy's house. Ada was being silly. Not sure why she wanted her hands in her face.

Taking a rest in Pluto's bed in Mickey's house.

Aubrey and Cameron went on a roller coaster ride that Ada is too small for, so her and I explored Goofy and Mickey's house.

And then they met up with us just in time to meet Mickey!

We have tried to be really good at participating in church activities so that we can get to know people in our new area. I went to our ward's Super Saturday (a morning full of all kinds of crafts), for a few hours and made this cute turkey. The girls love it!

Past Week

Monday October 7th we decided to try to go to Disneyland together as a family to finish up birthday celebrations for Aubrey. Cam has Mondays off, but he still went in for a few hours in the morning to get some things done before we headed out. The park was much busier this time than the last, so we didn't take as many pictures. We rode on mostly all new rides and had a great day. We also were able to meet up with one of our friends from Ogden, and the Swaners, our other friends that now live in California that used to live in Ogden.

First we went to a 3D muppet show. Aubrey loved it, but all the 3D stuff popping out kept scaring Ada. From there we went and saw a Disney Junior show with Mickey and Friends, Sophia, Jake and the Neverland Pirates, and Doc McStuffins. The girls thought it was great.

Checking out Tarzans Treehouse (formally Swiss Family Robinson)

Getting ready for a ride.

We ended the evening in Cars Land. Aubrey loved the Mater ride, but it was a little crazy for me and Ada!

My girls this morning before heading to storytime. We love our storytime here.

Napping. If only this could happen everyday (and for real!)

Aubrey's Shrek/Fiona mask.

Last night after baths Ada set up this picnic for us and all her dolls.

On Saturday we headed to a small farmer's market in hopes of finding more grapefruit. We didn't find any, but came home with some peaches and pomegranates. We then stumbled upon this Fire Safety event that the girls loved. We watched a small circus perform, visited lots of booths where we collected coloring books and reading books, ate candy, and checked out the firetrucks.

Sparky the Firedog. Ada also loved the castle bounce house.

While Ada was bouncing, Aubrey and Cam watched as they ripped apart this car to show how they get to people who are trapped after serious car accidents.

Riding the cop motorcycle.

It is hard to see in this picture, but we went to the park to feed the duck and play with some friends, and we also came across 2 bunnies. Aubrey actually cornered on and petted it, much to my pleading for her to stay away. They looked like someone's house pets on the loose.

Aubrey's 4th Birthday!

We had so much fun today celebrating Aubrey's 4th birthday! In some ways it has gone by fast, and it others it seems like she has been with us longer than 4 years. The girls decided to start the morning nice and early around 6:30. I tried to keep them occupied so Cam could sleep in a bit, but that is pretty hard to do on birthday morning.

The girls refused to look at me at the same time!

Decorating with new window stickers from Grandma & Papa Dalton

Ada was happy to have a few presents of her own. Aubrey got pretty spoiled this year, but was so nice and let Ada open at least 3 of her presents. As always, I slowly collect and it seems when I compile it all together I have way too much! And of course she got spoiled by all her grandparents as well.

Ada with her bandaids from Grandma & Papa Dalton. They must have know the girls have been into Tinkerbell lately. And with this girl we are sure to use them up!

At first Aubrey was confused as to why the coat was so long, but when I told her it was a dress coat, she was so excited about it! She can't wait to wear it! She is already becoming a California girl. We walked outside to say goodbye to our friends tonight, and she said she was cold! It was probably 70 degrees still! She also got a fancy new dress from her Dalton grandparents and she said, "Wow! They really miss me! This is so special. They must really miss me!"

Loving the shirt from Grandma & Grandpa Harvey

Monkey bread for breakfast!

The Froofy cake. Some days she is still very much obsessed with Froofy (okay most days), but I guess she is still only 4. Some day it drives me nuts! But she loved the cake and was so excited about it. But she didn't even take a bite when cake time came. I think she was too wound up with her friends and she asked to save it for later.

We made snowcones with the new machine a few times today.

We invited a few of our new friends over for cake and ice cream and they all had a blast. So much giggling and playing. Aubrey loves her new little friends, and thinks that the two boys, Rylan & Nathan, are hilarious. They love to make her laugh and she doesn't disappoint them.

Way too busy to eat cake!

We also caught most of General Conference today, and while we made the girls watch some with us, we also gave them a break. They get along great with the ipad and we were able to enjoy the conference as well. We tried to get Ada to nap but she sure put up a fight. By 5 she had hit the wall. But she powered through and made it til bedtime, where she was asleep almost immediately. What a fun day! But I am glad birthdays only come once a year!
