Setting up the tree! Always so exciting!
The kids were excited about every ornament they pulled out. Last year the girls had picked out an ornament after Christmas and put it in their stocking when we packed everything up. They were extra excited about the ones they picked out last year.
Our babysitter is amazing. We went out for our anniversary and she texted me and asked how late the girls could stay up because she was planning a party. She crafted with the girls, played games, and left them treats for when they got up in the morning. My house is left in good shape as well. The girls love her. And so do we!
Finally used our fire pit again. The girls and I ended up making a beautiful fire on their first day of Christmas vacation.
And right when it was perfect everyone was ready to go inside.
Sunday before Christmas
And Cameron had a fun work party we all enjoyed.
Making cookies and cream was a huge mess. But each year it will get easier and easier. The kids did it mostly on their own.
So excited for Christmas Eve tomorrow!
Christmas Eve is a lot of waiting! In the evening we went to the Dalton's for dinner and the kids put on Nativity plays for us.
We had a delicious meal, ate cookies and cream, and then came home to get ready for Santa.
Picture before heading to bed.
Ada left Santa a note. We left out cinnamon rolls and milk. I usually take a picture but for some reason I didn't get one this year!
Santa came!!
Woke up to these two looking at all the gifts.
Lucky for us it was 7:30. They were anxiously patient until Penny came down at 8. We woke up Paige and started in on unwrapping the gifts.
Excited to look in their stockings! Santa brought some fun stuff! Gift cards to fun places (Chuck E Cheese, Panera, Dairy Queen and Krispy Kreme), earrings, candy, toothpaste, and more!
Paige was excited about her new wiggle car.
And thanks to Cameron for taking pictures of the mess. I love them!
It really captures our Christmas morning.
Penny's new marble run kept us all entertained.
Paige made us all toast and smoothies.
The girls were thrilled about their pearls that they had to get out of their clams and make into necklaces from Aunt Kellie. Especially since they saw Emily get a similar one on her birthday.
Eww. It's squishy.
New necklaces and outfits.
Christmas evening walk. Ada looked like she came out of a Target ad.
Cameron tried out his new sous vide. It is an interesting way to cook meat. Prime rib probably wasn't the best cut to use as our trial, but it turned out delicious.
Seared it up on the grill.
Christmas dinner with mashed potatoes and stuffing!
