What an incredible track season for these girls! Aubrey hit some big PRs throughout the season and then hit some even faster times at districts and state. It was exciting and super nerve wracking to watch it all! So proud of these girls!
Aubrey PRs:
400: 1:04 (just ran it once)
800: 2:30 (only ran once too)
1600: 5:14
3200: 11:07.96
Ada only ran the 800 once (2:41) and then realized she was sooo good at the 300m hurdles. The two races are always right next to each other, so she chose to dominate the hurdles all season. She ended the season with the Freshman Record, racing a 46.92 PR at sub districts, and making it to state as well.
Ada also did amazing in the long jump, breaking the 16' barrier jumping 16' 0.75" and qualified to compete at sub districts and districts as well.
So fun to watch the girls run the 4x400m together a number of times this season too.
First 300 hurdles race. 48.81 for 2nd in the first time trying the race!
So cool!
A 3200m win for Aubrey! 11:29.17
Ada won hurdles races 4 times during the season, came in 2nd and 3rd a couple times, and overall just had the most outstanding freshman year.

Best team!
Ada got to do a mixed 4x200 too!
We made it through a super nervewracking district meet. Both girls easily qualified out of sub districts to make it to the district meet. Top three at districts get to go on to compete at the state meet. In the 300 hurdles there were a solid 4 competing for three spots, as well as the same boat for the 3200 meters for Aubrey. They both ended up running amazing, Aubrey claiming 2nd in the 3200 meters to qualify for the state meet, and Ada grabbing third....it would have been even closer but a competitor clipped one of the last hurdles and went down, which solidified Ada's third place finish.
Headed to the State Meet! So glad both girls could go!
2nd Place!
Aubrey came back and ran hard in the 1600 the following day, placing 7th against some really steep competition. It was so nice just to focus on one race at the state meet.
Ada did so well at the state meet. She ended up placing 15th overall and ran just shy of her best time, in 47.27
Aubrey had to wait until day 3, and one of the last events to run her race. It paid off. She ran a huge 11 second PR at districts in 11:18, and then another 11 second PR at State to finish in 11:07 and earned a spot on the podium.
She ran a textbook perfect race. So smart and patient and composed. What a way to cap off the season for both girls.
