Family Pictures

We have always set a goal to try to take family pictures when we have a 1 year old. Luckily Cameron has a classmate that offered to snap some for us, and it is so nice to have some new nicer pictures that include Penny. We just walked back to the temple grounds for a perfect location to take some great shots.

Thanksgiving

We had a great Thanksgiving week! Aubrey had the whole week off school so I had plenty of help cooking and getting ready. We kept things simple and decided to just celebrate as a family this year. I cooked my first turkey ever! We also had stuffing, sweet potatoes, rolls, pies, mashed potatoes, pink salad, and sparkling juice.

My beautiful turkey!

And an evening walk to top off the day.

And of course pie!

Aubrey's class held a Thanksgiving concert followed by a feast for all the kids. It was so cute to watch her sing the songs and say the poems she had learned.

Turkey head!

After Aubrey's concert we headed to the park to play with friends before heading home. Ada will be a school girl before I know it!

Veteran's Day Parade

Aubrey had Veteran's Day off from school, and we decided to keep up the tradition we started last year and go to the Veteran's Day Parade downtown. It was much bigger than last year, with a lot more support. It was fun to wave our flags and cheer and clap for the Veterans. We all felt pride in our country and a patriotic spirit. We are grateful to have the freedoms we enjoy and are so blessed!

And I love how this parade isn't about candy. The girls ended up each getting one piece, which was plenty. Mostly we just enjoyed the music, old cars, and being out!

Sunday

I tried to find a picture of Aubrey, Ada, and I in these dresses but I guess we never took one. Ada, Penny and I were matching Sunday. Aubrey only felt a little left out, but we let her take a special picture with Daddy.

We had Stake Conference on Sunday, so they opened the temple gates so that everyone could walk around and enjoy the temple grounds.

We are so blessed to have the temple literally in our backyard. We love to walk there and smell the flowers and play by the fountain.

More November

It seems like after Halloween we hit a quite time in our year, where we settle back into the routine of life. We go to school, go to the park, grocery shop, and play at home. We have had beautiful weather, and as much as I miss winter, I will truly miss these warm winters when we move away. The girls were watching a show and snuggling up in the picture above.

Ada got invited to a friend's house and Aubrey was at school, and Cam had a morning off...so Penny got a special date with us!

Who knows what someone would do with a can of tuna fish like this!

Aubrey gets to go on a field trip to see part of the Nutcracker ballet in a few weeks. So we are getting excited about Nutcrackers. Aubrey would love to be a ballerina and is excited to go see the show.

My girls praying.

We left Kitty in Montana, and Ada was so excited to see her again today. Thanks Grandma! She didn't even look to see what else was in the box before she ran off. Don't worry- Aubrey made sure the M&Ms were found!

Penny's first pony tail. Looks pretty silly but the girls beg for me to do Penny's hair. They think she looks soooo cute!

Poor Penny. Has to keep practicing at walking and not climbing on the table. She gets so mad at me when I don't let her go play with her sisters.

More Penny pictures!

We went to the park with some of Aubrey's classmates. Izzy, Aubrey, Conor, and Bradley. Ada and Allie tagged along.

We watched some of our friend's kids on Saturday evening and they have so much fun. I think it is cool that the Magic Kingdom still gets played with after all these years. It was a perfect princess castle for these girls.

Yesterday I let Ada have a couple friends over for a few hours while Aubrey was at school. It was fun to see Ada take charge without Aubrey around. We had a great morning dressing up, decorating cookies, and going to the park. Ada, Jorly, Holland, and Emjae.

Cookies with Emjae.

Headed to the park where they played princesses & babies. Penny loved tagging along.

And Emjae stuck around for a few minutes after Aubrey got home so she could join in the fun.
