Up Late...Busy Posting

Here's what I have been up to lately...

Mommy and Daddy tried to put this tray on the Bumbo so that I wouldn't escape. But I still did. I have learned that if I lean far enough to reach for something, I can pop right out of Bumbo. Now I am only allowed to play in it on the floor.

I have learned to stand and if I let go I know I will fall. I crawl all over the place. Really fast. And I love to run if I am holding Mommy or Daddy's hands.

This is my favorite corner in the house. I wake up and crawl straight to all my toys. My favorite is Mommy's old Magic Kingdom. I love making noise with the blocks and playing with the dial.

My hair is getting long. I can put bows in it, but I don't very often because they usually fall out. Okay, maybe I rip them out. I also have 6 teeth, 4 on top and 2 on bottom.

I have learned that there are more fun ways to ride in the car than being strapped into my car seat.

Ready to go!

Mommy took me to a parade on Saturday. I got lots of candy, a balloon, and a frisbee. And fell asleep on the way home.

Daddy and I checking out the Splash Park, one of my favorite places.

I also like trying things on and shopping with Mommy.

Worn out! I am a very busy girl!

South Ogden Days Twilight 5K

We keep running races! This is the third year in a row that we have raced the South Ogden Twilight run. It is one of our favorite races. They usually have great prizes and it is well organized. The race starts at 8 pm. Yesterday the high temperatures were in the mid 90s, so it was nice to run as the sun was setting. Thanks to the Harvey's, Cameron and I were both able to race without the running stroller. Aubrey had fun playing with Grandma and Grandpa and Aunt Kate.

Cameron placed third overall in 18:13 (not bad considering he ran over 30 miles 5 days ago!). I was the 2nd girl and ran 20:11. I am finally starting to feel like I am getting back into shape. Cameron and I each won a lawn chair!

Just had to add the picture of the day! Aubrey wanted to come lounge with daddy after she woke up from her nap.

New Hair Cut

Here is the before picture. Yesterday I went to get my hair cut. I brought in a few pictures, and the stylist recommended that I donate my hair to Locks of Love. In order to donate, you have to have 10 inches. They put it into a pony tail and cut it off. So scary! It is shorter than I have ever had it, but it will hopefully be a fun change.

After!

Aubrey wanted to show off her hair too. It is getting long! She is also getting her 5th tooth! This one has been the hardest for her, but it is making its way through.

Ragnar Relay, Ultra Division Champions

This weekend Cameron ran the Ragnar Relay with 5 other friends. Instead of having a 12 man team cover the 188.2 miles, they opted to run an Ultra team-having 6 people race. Cameron ran almost 32 miles! They started Friday evening at 5. Each person ran 3 times throughout the race. They had a very fast team and ended up winning the race in 22:24:34.2. As far as we know, that is the fastest Ultra team ever! We met the team at the finish. It was a crazy day. The race had 1050 teams of 12. Which meant the traffic was terrible and the finish was crowded. But they had a fun time! Glad Cameron survived.

Hanging out at the finish!

Summer Fun

Aubrey learning to crawl. She is getting so fast already!

Getting ready for church!

This is a good picture of her 2 bottom teeth. She has bottom teeth and her 2 front teeth already! Her eyelashes are pretty long also. You can kind of see them in this pic.

Parmenters & IHC 5K

Lindsey, Adam, Montanna and Eden stopped by on Friday afternoon. We were so glad that they could visit us as they headed back to Denver. We got to see and hold little Eden for the first time. She is so adorable! Montanna had fun playing with Aubrey too. We were able to just relax for a few hours, then went out to eat, and then went and got hot chocolate! Yum! Thanks so much for visiting!

This morning, Linds and Adam headed out, and Cameron and I went to run the McKay-Dee 100 year Anniversary 5K. We started at a park where the first McKay used to be. They had us wear hospital gowns and patient wristbands as we raced up Harrison, one of the busiest streets in Ogden. I can just imagine what some people were thinking as they drove by and saw hundreds of people running in hospital gowns. We woke up to rain and a huge wind storm that made it a little harder to run, but we had a blast. The race was followed by a great breakfast of eggs, hashbrowns, sausage, bacon, fruit, pastries, juice, and chocolate milk. Well worth heading out in the rain. Aubrey did great too!

Weber Pathways 5K

Cameron has to work today, so Aubrey and I decided to head down to the Parkway and run the Weber Pathways 5K. It was a free race along the parkway and river. It was a perfect sunny morning! It was a small race and I ended up in 7th place, and was the 5th girl overall (not counting Aubrey, who edged me out by about half a second, but forgot to wear her bib number!). I ran 23:42. Cameron and I are signed up for 2 more 5Ks in June, so we'll see if I can improve on that time!

Splash Pad

We were so excited when the Splash Pad opened on Memorial Day. We took Aubrey on Tuesday evening just to check it out, and she had a blast. Yesterday we took her when it was sunny, and we had fun. She wasn't sure about all the other kids and noise, but she will get used to it. She loves the water!

I am sure we will be visiting the Splash Pad a lot this summer!
