Six Months!

Penny was 6 months old on June 9! She got her shots and checkup on Friday. She is about the size Aubrey was at this age. Ada was a couple pounds bigger.

Weight: 14 pounds, 3 ounces (approx. 10th percentile)
Length: 26.5 inches (approx. 65th percentile)
Head Circumference: 44 cm (approx. 70th percentile)

  •  First tooth is poking through and the second isn't far behind!
  • She LOVES her food. And surprisingly I think her favorite is just formula mixed with rice cereal. She will eat it right up!
  • Spends a lot of time on her tummy. Can easily roll from her back to stomach, but has only gone stomach to back a couple times.
  • Still takes probably 3 naps a day at least, but we are going to try to cut this down a little and get her to sleep more at night. She was doing great before the teeth and shots, so hopefully she will get back to that point soon. Before teeth/shots she was pretty good about sleeping from about 9-7.
  • Loves her sisters.
  • Happy girl
  • Blond, blond hair
  • Blue eyes. Our other girls have brownish eyes.
Love our little Penny!

Just Playing!

We have been playing hard with Cameron home for just over a week. We had the campout on Friday night, and then met up with some friends from Utah on Saturday, and hit the beach Saturday afternoon. Our girls love the beach. It is about an hour and a half away, so we haven't made it as much as we would like, but we had a blast.

Sand everywhere. It is amazing how much you bring home in the car! A happy, tired family!

Before the beach we went to a birthday party for the son on the Swaners, our friends from our apartment complex in Ogden. The girls had a blast playing dress up and eating cupcakes, and we had so much fun catching up with Dayna & Brandon.

Here is an old picture of Aubrey and Hailey (and our other buddy Joshua), from back when we were all in Ogden.

And we have loved seeing baby Cameron and his little personality. I wish I could have gotten a picture of this kid squirming across the floor. He was speedy! It was his first birthday! (He is a big boy...about Ada's size! It will be fun to see him continue to grow.)

At my race a few weeks ago we met a cute little family, the Weeds, and we had them over for dinner on Father's Day. Once again the kids had a blast. And we loved getting to know some new running friends.

And Ada earned her Ariel doll for jumping in the pool. She did it the same way as Aubrey. Aubrey was jumping in and Ada didn't think twice and jumped right in after her. I think she surprised herself! But then she did it over and over again.

And Aubrey shocked us all....she said she wanted to practice swimming. I would love to teach my girls how to swim, but so far it has been a slow process. Well, today, Aubrey taught herself. Literally. She was playing with another little girl for a minute, and she watched what that girl was doing, and then just took off. So excited for her to keep practicing. She was so proud of herself and we were so excited for her.

Camping!

Starting off with a few swimming pictures. These girls love the pool. And love having Daddy home to play with. I found the pink swimsuits yesterday for $5 each! Can't have too many swimsuits when the pool is right down the street.

This is happening right now! I am pretty sure we are going to have some tired girls in the morning. We have a list of things we want to do during Cameron's school break, and this was on the list! It's not the back country, but with how excited these girls are you would think it was!

Our campfire.

Penny and I will be sleeping in the house tonight. She had her 6 month shots today.

Summer Time!

Today we had a pool party to celebrate our friend Emjae's 3rd birthday. We had almost all our friends there, and we all had a blast.

Emjae and Aubrey

Hanging out.

We have had Emjae over to our house a few times recently as well, and the girls always have so much fun.

Saturday I ran the Fontana Days Half Marathon. I couldn't have asked for better weather. I was so excited to race again, and I am pretty excited about how far I have come in the 4.5 months that I have been back running. I ran 1:30:24 for the half marathon. I was the 11th women.

My cheering girls. They had a lot of fun at the race. And we went to Denny's afterwards- which is now Aubrey's favorite restaurant. She ate more than I have seen her eat in forever.

It was a fun family morning. Next year, if Cam's schedule allows, I think we will try to get a sitter and both do it. For a full race report, check out my running blog: http://lesley.fastrunningblog.com

We hung out at home and napped and relaxed the rest of the day, and then some of our friends invited us to a movie night outside at their house. They kids had a blast, and even though they were tired they stayed awake the whole time. We watched Mr. Peabody and Sherman. I was surprised at how good of a movie it was. We all loved it.

So grateful for good friends, and also Cam's hard work in this program. He is working so hard, but also finds some time to spend with us. We are excited for him to finish his finals on Wednesday and have a week to spend as a family before he starts up again.

Sunday Beauties!

Are girls were scared...terrified...to get their faces wet or put their heads under the water in the swimming pool. We got tired of trying so we bribed them (I know...probably not the best parenting choice). If they could jump from the side of the pool into the pool, they earned a princess doll. Aubrey was scared for a few days, and then just one day went and did it. Ada will go all the way under jumping from the stairs, but not the side...so she has almost earned hers. Ariel is sitting on top of the fridge. Aubrey has had so much fun with this new skill and will jump again and again and again with her friends.

The girls all looked so cute on Sunday. I didn't get a picture of all of them in their dresses at the same time.

Happy Penny

Ada in the same dress (best picture I got I guess)
