We hadn't planned to go to Universal Studios, but our beach days were not as warm as we expected and we decided we might as well check it out since we were already in California. We had a lot of fun, and it was great to experience a new park. We all still decided Disneyland was our favorite, but we loved seeing Harry Potter Land, where movies are made, and lots more fun rides.
Red carpet
Secret Life of Pets ride.
Scooby Doo Van
And Harry Potter.
Frozen Butterbeer. With Hogwarts in the background.
The sorting hat
This train conducted was pretty fun.
The details were all so amazing. So much to look at.
Hagrid's house
A picture with Bumblebee
Hello Kitty
A Simpsons Donut
And Bart and Homer. I don't think the girls really knew who these guys were but they thought they were funny.
And a whole land dedicated to the Simpsons. The kids was pretty fun too.
Donkey
Shrek and Fiona
Guy Diamond
We did try to drive by the Hollywood sign, but with traffic and everything, we ended up turning around and saw it small in the distance.
Minnions
And Super Silly Fun Land from Despicable Me
It was another fun filled day. We loved the Water World show... basically a live action movie right in front of us. Shooting, fire, jet skis, people diving off towers and even and airplane flying in and crashing at the end.
Universal had a lot of fast action rides with 3D glasses. We did all get a little nauseous. Jurassic Park ride was good. And the Studio Tour to see where everything happens.
And hotel pools are always fun.
LA Temple. It is huge
And a few more hours on the beach before catching our evening flight home.
We had such a wonderful trip. So glad to get away to the sun. Right after we left, California experienced weeks of rain and downpours. We lucked out with the beautiful weather in the 70s.
Trying some empanadas
And back to cold Spokane.
