Christmas

Getting ready for Christmas! Making our traditional cookies and cream.

We went swimming on Christmas Eve with some friends from our ward, then grabbed some tacos at a new restaurant.

I helped out at Paige's class Christmas party. It's been fun to be able to volunteer a bit more at the schools this year since I don't have anyone left at home with me.

And Fynlee came for a visit.

So precious.

I made bread for all our neighbors, and then got an order for 48 loaves of bread. It was a crazy day of baking, but they all turned out beautiful!

Christmas cookies for Santa.

Aubrey and Ada organized an orchestra piece to play in sacrament meeting on Christmas Sunday. I loved having their group of friends practice at our house. We had 3 cellos, 3 violins, and a viola. They did such a great job.

We found Santa driving around town!

Christmas Eve pics

Ready for Santa!

Christmas morning. These pictures are a bit out of orders. But it was a wonderful morning.

New jewelry box from Gram and Papa to match her sisters.

A pic right after Santa arrived.

And first thing in the morning.

Matching jackets

A sample of their treasures.

If you look closely, Paiges book was teaching her crazy things. Haha.

Tea party with the new tea set.

Fun new magnatiles

And our best attempt at a Christmas Sunday picture.

December Randoms

Volleyball tournament at school. Ada's cute team. They made their shirts during their lunch periods. Love her great friends.

And Aubrey's team. They were not thrilled that Aubrey made them take a picture.

Meeting the Gonzaga basketball players at the cookie shop that one of Cameron's coworkers opened.

Beautiful Aubrey. Helping host the nativity night at the church.

One of our many fights to get our kids to eat vegetables.

Sledding! It was bitterly cold, but I wanted to check this off our list before winter got too crazy.

Paige didn't last long. Cameron got off work early and we sent her home with him. We had fun.

We let Aubrey get some high lights as an early Christmas present and she loves them.

The before pictures came up after the after ones. We had to rush her home from her volleyball game to get pampered by our great neighbor.

Roller Valley Christmas Party.

Love that everyone is big enough to skate on their own.

And I won tickets to Peppa Pig, live in concert.

So Paige and I got a special date to go see Peppa. We had had a busy morning and no time to eat anything, so concessions to the rescue. She survived off the chocolate muffin and then was able to enjoy the show.

Super fun! I wouldn't pay to go to a similar show, but it was fun for free.

Penny's 9th Birthday

Happy Birthday Penny! 9 years old! She is such a pleasant girl and we are so lucky she is ours. Her birthday was so busy with a bunch of other activities (Aubrey and Ada had a basketball tournament at school they were involved in, plus our ward party). She was a good sport about it and we celebrated her birthday over a few days.

New glasses. I don't think she took them off all day long.

And a second pair of glasses. And some penny collection books.

Cool moon ball from Grandma and Grandpa Harvey. She loves space and pandas.

Decorating her panda cake.

She did such a good job!

More presents with Dad after he got home from work.

We went out to eat the night before (or after her birthday-I can't remember) at Red Robin. The kids love the bottomless macaroni and cheese and fries. And a bonus birthday sundae!

Cake after the ward party.

She is so sweet. She let everyone help her blow out her candles.

We also had a friend party for Penny. It was crazy but we survived! Pizza, games, and a craft. The summer birthdays are easier where you can just send everyone outside to play.

Saran Wrap ball game. Penny had spent a lot of time creating the Saran Wrap ball.

And we did a craft where they each made their own little snowman. We had rice everywhere because I forgot to grab some funnels. But everyone was so proud and excited about their snowman.

Can you imagine the crazy? Haha.

Popcorn cake...and the panda cake was still around since we hadn't eaten much the night before.

Paige and her friend Boston and their matching snowmen.

And a picture by the cool Christmas tree. Happy 9th Birthday Penny!
